'Needed' in the Bible

When they measured it by quarts, the person who gathered a lot had no surplus, and the person who gathered a little had no shortage. Each gathered as much as he needed to eat.

They gathered it every morning. Each gathered as much as he needed to eat, but when the sun grew hot, it melted.

and said to Moses, “The people are bringing more than is needed for the construction of the work the Lord commanded to be done.”

“If a man consecrates to the Lord any part of a field that he possesses, your assessment of value will be proportional to the seed needed to sow it, at the rate of 50 silver shekels for every five bushels of barley seed.

So he gathered the priests and Levites and said, “Go out to the cities of Judah and collect money from all Israel to repair the temple of your God as needed year by year, and do it quickly.”However, the Levites did not hurry.

Whatever is needed—young bulls, rams, and lambs for burnt offerings to the God of heaven, or wheat, salt, wine, and oil, as requested by the priests in Jerusalem—let it be given to them every day without fail,

Then you are to buy with this money as many bulls, rams, and lambs as needed, along with their grain and drink offerings, and offer them on the altar at the house of your God in Jerusalem.

You are to say: This is what the Lord God says:Will it flourish?Will he not tear out its rootsand strip off its fruitso that it shrivels?All its fresh leaves will wither!Great strength and many peoplewill not be needed to pull it from its roots.

The lion mauled whatever its cubs neededand strangled prey for its lionesses.It filled up its dens with the kill,and its lairs with mauled prey.

When the crowds found out, they followed Him. He welcomed them, spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and cured those who needed healing.

Neither is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives everyone life and breath and all things.

So they heaped many honors on us, and when we sailed, they gave us what we needed.
