'Raises' in the Bible

The Lord brings death and gives life;He sends some to Sheol, and He raises others up.

He raises the poor from the dustand lifts the needy from the garbage pile.He seats them with noblemenand gives them a throne of honor.For the foundations of the earth are the Lord’s;He has set the world on them.

He said:The Lord roars from Zionand raises His voice from Jerusalem;the pastures of the shepherds mourn,and the summit of Carmel withers.

And just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so the Son also gives life to anyone He wants to.

Why is it considered incredible by any of you that God raises the dead?

Indeed, we personally had a death sentence within ourselves, so that we would not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead.
