'Rebuke' in the Bible
O Lord, do not rebuke or punish me in Your anger,Nor discipline me in Your wrath.
Then the stream beds of the waters appeared,And the foundations of the world were laid bareAt Your rebuke, O Lord,At the blast of the breath of Your nostrils.
O Lord, do not rebuke me in Your wrath,Nor discipline me in Your burning anger.
Rebuke the beasts [living] among the reeds [in Egypt],The herd of bulls (the leaders) with the calves of the peoples;Trampling underfoot the pieces of silver;He has scattered the peoples who delight in war.
At Your rebuke, O God of Jacob,Both rider and horse were cast into a dead sleep [of death].
It is burned with fire, it is cut down;They perish at the rebuke of Your [angry] appearance.
At Your rebuke they fled;At the sound of Your thunder they hurried away.
You rebuke the presumptuous and arrogant, the cursed ones,Who wander from Your commandments.
