'Receive' in the Bible
He came to his own creation, yet his own people did not receive him.
John replied, "No one can receive anything unless it has been given to them from heaven.
Now he said this about the Spirit, whom those who were believing in him were to receive, because the Spirit was not yet present and Jesus had not yet been glorified.
The one who rejects me and doesn't receive my words has something to judge him: The word that I've spoken will judge him on the last day,
He is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor recognizes him. But you recognize him, because he lives with you and will be in you.
