'Sorely' in the Bible
“The [skilled] archers have bitterly attacked and provoked him;They have shot [at him] and harassed him.
The Ammonites crossed the Jordan to fight against Judah, Benjamin, and the house of Ephraim, so that Israel was greatly distressed.
For the Lord humbled Judah because of Ahaz king of Israel, for Ahaz had allowed unrestrained and undisciplined behavior in Judah and had been very unfaithful to the Lord.
