'Time' in the Bible
So when they had come together, they were asking Him, saying, “Lord, is it at this time You are restoring the kingdom to Israel?”
At this time Peter stood up in the midst of the brethren (a gathering of about one hundred and twenty persons was there together), and said,
Therefore it is necessary that of the men who have accompanied us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us—
whom heaven must receive until the period of restoration of all things about which God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from ancient time.
But a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the Law, respected by all the people, stood up in the Council and gave orders to put the men outside for a short time.
For some time ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody, and a group of about four hundred men joined up with him. But he was killed, and all who followed him were dispersed and came to nothing.
Now at this time while the disciples were increasing in number, a complaint arose on the part of the Hellenistic Jews against the native Hebrews, because their widows were being overlooked in the daily serving of food.
But when Jacob heard that there was grain in Egypt, he sent our fathers there the first time.
“But as the time of the promise was approaching which God had assured to Abraham, the people increased and multiplied in Egypt,
It was at this time that Moses was born; and he was lovely in the sight of God, and he was nurtured three months in his father’s home.

Now about that time Herod the king laid hands on some who belonged to the church in order to mistreat them.
When Herod had searched for him and had not found him, he examined the guards and ordered that they be led away to execution. Then he went down from Judea to Caesarea and was spending time there.
Now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you will be blind and not see the sun for a time.” And immediately a mist and a darkness fell upon him, and he went about seeking those who would lead him by the hand.
Therefore they spent a long time there speaking boldly with reliance upon the Lord, who was testifying to the word of His grace, granting that signs and wonders be done by their hands.
After they had spent time there, they were sent away from the brethren in peace to those who had sent them out.
(Now all the Athenians and the strangers visiting there used to spend their time in nothing other than telling or hearing something new.)
When they asked him to stay for a longer time, he did not consent,
And having spent some time there, he left and passed successively through the Galatian region and Phrygia, strengthening all the disciples.
About that time there occurred no small disturbance concerning the Way.

And casting off the anchors, they left them in the sea while at the same time they were loosening the ropes of the rudders; and hoisting the foresail to the wind, they were heading for the beach.
But they were expecting that he was about to swell up or suddenly fall down dead. But after they had waited a long time and had seen nothing unusual happen to him, they changed their minds and began to say that he was a god.
