Ezekiel 22:25

Deuteronomy 24:19

"At the end of three years you shall bring out all [of] the tithe of your yield for that year, and you shall store [it] in your {towns}. 1 Timothy 5:4-16

Therefore I want younger [widows] to marry, to bear children, to manage a household, to give the adversary no opportunity for reproach. For already some have turned away [and followed] after Satan. If any believing woman has widows, she must help them, and the church must not be burdened, in order that it may help those [who are] truly widows.

1 Corinthians 7:8-9

Now I say to the unmarried and to the widows: [It is] good for them if they remain as I [am]. But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn [with sexual desire].

[When he] arrived, they brought [him] up to the upstairs room, and all the widows came to him, weeping and showing [him] tunics and [other] clothing that Dorcas used to make [while she] was with them. But Peter sent [them] all outside, and, falling to [his] knees, he prayed. And turning toward the body, he said, "Tabitha, get up!" And she opened her eyes, and [when she] saw Peter, she sat up. And he gave her [his] hand [and] raised her up. And he called the saints and the widows [and] presented her alive.

Psalm 109:9

Let his children be orphans, and his wife a widow,

Genesis 38:8

Then Judah said to Onan, "Go in to the wife of your brother and perform the duty of a brother-in-law to her, and raise up offspring for your brother."
