'Workers' in the Bible
The sons of Shelah son of Judah: Er the father of Lecah, Laadah the father of Mareshah, the families of the guild of linen workers at Beth-ashbea,
You also have many workers: stonecutters, masons, carpenters, and people skilled in every kind of work
They also asked them, “What are the names of the workers who are constructing this building?”
“Why have we fasted, but You have not seen?We have denied ourselves, but You haven’t noticed!”“Look, you do as you please on the day of your fast,and oppress all your workers.
“The remainder of the length alongside the holy donation will be 3? miles to the east and 3? miles to the west. It will run alongside the holy donation. Its produce will be food for the workers of the city.
The city’s workers from all the tribes of Israel will cultivate it.
Then He said to His disciples,“The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few.
Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”
“For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire workers for his vineyard.
After agreeing with the workers on one denarius for the day, he sent them into his vineyard.
When evening came, the owner of the vineyard told his foreman, ‘Call the workers and give them their pay, starting with the last and ending with the first.’
He told them:“The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.
But He will say, ‘I tell you, I don’t know you or where you’re from. Get away from Me, all you workers of unrighteousness!’
When he had assembled them, as well as the workers engaged in this type of business, he said: “Men, you know that our prosperity is derived from this business.
I do not mean that we have control of your faith, but we are workers with you for your joy, because you stand by faith.
For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ.
Watch out for “dogs,” watch out for evil workers, watch out for those who mutilate the flesh.
Look! The pay that you withheld from the workers who reaped your fields cries out, and the outcry of the harvesters has reached the ears of the Lord of Hosts.
