'Ability' in the Bible

For we do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, about the suffering we experienced in Asia. We were so crushed beyond our ability to endure that we even despaired of living.

Not that we are sufficiently qualified in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency and qualifications come from God.

I testify that, on their own, according to their ability and beyond their ability,

But now finish doing it also, so that just as there was the readiness to desire it, so there may be also the completion of it by your ability.

We are not overstepping the limits of our province, as if we did not [legitimately] reach to you, for we were the [very] first to come even as far as you with the good news of Christ.
