'Awake' in the Bible
“Awake! Awake, Deborah!Awake! Awake, sing a song!Arise, Barak, and take hold of your captives, son of Abinoam!”
Rise up, Lord, in Your anger;lift Yourself up against the fury of my adversaries;awake for me;You have ordained a judgment.
But I will see Your face in righteousness;when I awake, I will be satisfied with Your presence.
For no fault of mine, they run and take up a position.Awake to help me, and take notice.
I am awake through each watch of the nightto meditate on Your promise.
W I sleep, but my heart is awake.A sound! My love is knocking!M Open to me, my sister, my darling,my dove, my perfect one.For my head is drenched with dew,my hair with droplets of the night.
Your dead will live; their bodies will rise.Awake and sing, you who dwell in the dust! For you will be covered with the morning dew,and the earth will bring out the departed spirits.
Many of those who sleep in the dustof the earth will awake, some to eternal life, and some to shame and eternal contempt.
Sword, awake against My shepherd, against the man who is My associate—this is the declaration of the Lord of Hosts.Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered;I will also turn My hand against the little ones.
