'Convict' in the Bible
"The testimony of one person alone is not to suffice to convict anyone of any iniquity, sin, or guilt. But the matter will stand on the testimony of two or three witnesses.
but it will go well with those who convict the guilty,and a generous blessing will come to them.
“Does our Law convict someone without first giving him a hearing and finding out what he is [accused of] doing?”
Who among you can convict Me of sin? If I tell the truth, why don’t you believe Me?
Whoever rejects Me and refuses to accept My teachings, has one who judges him; the very word that I spoke will judge and condemn him on the last day.
When He comes, He will convict the world about sin, righteousness, and judgment:
The faith which you have [that gives you freedom of choice], have as your own conviction before God [just keep it between yourself and God, seeking His will]. Happy is he who has no reason to condemn himself for what he approves.
and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of the darkness and rather even convict,
Those that sin convict before all, that the rest also may have fear.
preach the word; be earnest in season, out of season, convict, rebuke, exhort, in all long-suffering and teaching,
holding -- according to the teaching -- to the stedfast word, that he may be able also to exhort in the sound teaching, and the gainsayers to convict;
this testimony is true; for which cause convict them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith,
to execute judgment on alland to convict themof all their ungodly actsthat they have done in an ungodly way,and of all the harsh things ungodly sinnershave said against Him.
