'Distressed' in the Bible
Be gracious to me, LORD, because I am fading away. Heal me, because my body is distressed.
And my soul is deeply distressed. But you, LORD, how long do I wait?
for he [who] {avenges bloodshed} remembers them. He does not forget the distressed cry of [the] afflicted.
I will rejoice and be glad in your gracious love, for you see my affliction and take note that my soul is distressed.
Pay attention to me and answer me! I am so upset and distressed, I am beside myself,
But I will sing of your power and in the morning I will shout for joy about your gracious love. For you have been a fortress for me; and a refuge when I am distressed.
So they again tested God and distressed the Holy One of Israel.
