'Dreams' in the Bible
Come now, let's kill him, throw him into one of the cisterns, and then say that a wild animal ate him. Then we'll see how his dreams turn out!"
They told him, "We both had dreams, but there is no one to interpret them." Joseph responded, "Don't interpretations belong to God? Tell them to me."
In the morning he was troubled, so he called for all the diviner-priests of Egypt and all its wise men. Pharaoh told them his dreams, but no one could interpret them for him.
Now a young man, a Hebrew, a servant of the captain of the guards, was with us there. We told him our dreams, and he interpreted the meaning of each of our respective dreams for us.
Pharaoh said to Joseph, "I had a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it. But I have heard about you, that you can interpret dreams."
Then Joseph said to Pharaoh, "Both dreams of Pharaoh have the same meaning. God has revealed to Pharaoh what he is about to do.
The seven good cows represent seven years, and the seven good heads of grain represent seven years. Both dreams have the same meaning.
Then Joseph remembered the dreams he had dreamed about them, and he said to them, "You are spies; you have come to see if our land is vulnerable!"
Suppose a prophet or one who foretells by dreams should appear among you and show you a sign or wonder,
So Saul inquired of the Lord, but the Lord did not answer him -- not by dreams nor by Urim nor by the prophets.
Samuel said to Saul, "Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?" Saul replied, "I am terribly troubled! The Philistines are fighting against me and God has turned away from me. He does not answer me -- not by the prophets nor by dreams. So I have called on you to tell me what I should do."
In the troubling thoughts of the dreams in the night when a deep sleep falls on men,
Just as dreams come when there are many cares, so the rash vow of a fool occurs when there are many words.
Just as there is futility in many dreams, so also in many words. Therefore, fear God!
A deceiver's methods are evil; he dreams up evil plans to ruin the poor with lies, even when the needy are in the right.

After all of this I will pour out my Spirit on all kinds of people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your elderly will have revelatory dreams; your young men will see prophetic visions.
