'Except' in the Bible
The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
No one has ascended into heaven except the One who descended from heaven—the Son of Man.

not that anyone has seen the Father except the One who is from God. He has seen the Father.
Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
Doth our law judge a man, except it first hear from himself and know what he doeth?
So Jesus, straightening up and seeing no one except the woman, said to her, "Where are those accusers of yours? Does no one condemn you?"
I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for except ye believe that I am he , ye shall die in your sins.
The thief doth not come, except that he may steal, and kill, and destroy; I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.

and they cried out, 'Take away, take away, crucify him;' Pilate saith to them, 'Your king shall I crucify?' the chief priests answered, 'We have no king except Caesar.'
The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
