“But the wicked and worthless are all to be thrown away like thorns,Because they cannot be taken with the hand;

“So are the paths of all who forget God;And the hope of the godless will perish,

But those who [are not financially ethical and] crave to get rich [with a compulsive, greedy longing for wealth] fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction [leading to personal misery].

And if it is difficult for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the godless and the sinner?
