Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, descended from David according to my gospel,
For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me." In the same way he took the cup also after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me."read more.
For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.
For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through perseverance and the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope.
Now these things are examples for us, not to desire evil things as they did.
that no one be immoral or godless like Esau, who sold his own birthright for a single meal.
For in this way in former times the holy women also, who hoped in God, used to adorn themselves, and were submissive to their own husbands; just as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord. And you are her children if you do what is right and are not frightened by any fear.

For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Formerly, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those which by nature are no gods. But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how is it that you turn back again to the weak and worthless elemental things? Do you desire to be enslaved all over again?
For it is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put him to an open shame.
For whoever lacks these things is blind and shortsighted, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.
But I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember then from where you have fallen, repent and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent.
Remember therefore what you have received and heard; keep it, and repent. But if you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come upon you.
The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent,
"Men, why are you doing this? We also are men, of like nature with you, and bring you good news, that you should turn from these vain things to a living God who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and all that is in them. In past generations he allowed all the nations to go their own ways;
Because of this oath, Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant.
In the past God spoke to our fathers by the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the world.
When he said, "A new covenant," he has made the first obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.
how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? For this reason he is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.
And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after saying, "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them," then he adds, "Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more."read more.
Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin.
and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks better than the blood of Abel.
the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the saints. To them God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Now to him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which was kept secret for long ages but is now revealed and made known to all nations through the prophetic writings, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faith
But we speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and which God destined for our glory before the ages.
he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ,
