'Godless' in the Bible

“But the wicked and worthless are all to be thrown away like thorns,Because they cannot be taken with the hand;

But he replied, "You're talking like one of the godless women would do! Should we receive what is good from God, and not also receive what is evil?" In all this Job did not sin by what he said.

Such is the destiny of all who forget God;the hope of the godless will perish.

“His [godless] roots are wrapped around a pile of rocks,And he gazes at a house of stones.

Yes, this will result in my deliverance,for no godless person can appear before Him.

For the company of the godless will have no children,and fire will consume the tents of those who offer bribes.

The upright are appalled at this,and the innocent are roused against the godless.

the joy of the wicked has been briefand the happiness of the godless has lasted only a moment?

For what hope does the godless man have when he is cut off,when God takes away his life?

so that godless men should not ruleor ensnare the people.

Those who have a godless heart harbor anger;even when God binds them, they do not cry for help.

With godless mockerythey gnashed their teeth at me.

I will not set anything worthless before my eyes.I hate the practice of transgression;it will not cling to me.

The arrogant have forged a lie against me,But I will keep Your precepts with all my heart.

The arrogant (godless) have dug pits for me,Men who do not conform to Your law.

All Your commandments are faithful and trustworthy.They have persecuted me with a lie; help me [Lord]!

When the wicked man dies, his expectation will perish;And the hope of [godless] strong men perishes.

By what he says, the godless person can destroy his neighbor, but through knowledge the righteous escape.

Do not have anything to do with godless myths and fables of old women. Instead, train yourself to be godly.

But those who [are not financially ethical and] crave to get rich [with a compulsive, greedy longing for wealth] fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction [leading to personal misery].

O Timothy, guard and keep safe the deposit [of godly truth] entrusted to you, turn away from worldly and godless chatter [with its profane, empty words], and the contradictions of what is falsely called “knowledge”—

It trains us to reject godless ways and worldly desires and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age,

No one should be immoral or godless like Esau, who sold his birthright for a single meal.

And if it is with difficulty that the righteous is saved, what will become of the godless man and the sinner?

He reduced to ashes the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, and condemned them to overthrow, making them an example to people who might in future be living godless lives.
