'Inner' in the Bible
My soul [as well as my body] is greatly dismayed.But as for You, O Lord—how long [until You act on my behalf]?
Therefore my heart is glad and my glory [my innermost self] rejoices;My body too will dwell [confidently] in safety,
The secret [of the wise counsel] of the Lord is for those who fear Him,And He will let them know His covenant and reveal to them [through His word] its [deep, inner] meaning.
Be gracious and compassionate to me, O Lord, for I am in trouble;My eye is clouded and weakened by grief, my soul and my body also.
We wait [expectantly] for the Lord;He is our help and our shield.
As for me, I said, “O Lord, be gracious to me;Heal my soul, for I have sinned against You.”
My soul (my life, my inner self) thirsts for God, for the living God.When will I come and see the face of God?
Why are you in despair, O my soul?And why have you become restless and disturbed within me?Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall again praise HimFor the help of His presence.

Glorious is the King’s daughter within [the palace];Her robe is interwoven with gold.
Behold, You desire truth in the innermost being,And in the hidden part [of my heart] You will make me know wisdom.
Awake, my glory!Awake, harp and lyre!I will awaken the dawn.
O God, You are my God; with deepest longing I will seek You;My soul [my life, my very self] thirsts for You, my flesh longs and sighs for You,In a dry and weary land where there is no water.
My lips will shout for joy when I sing praises to You,And my soul, which You have redeemed.
On the day I called, You answered me;And You made me bold and confident with [renewed] strength in my life.
I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;Wonderful are Your works,And my soul knows it very well.
Let me hear Your lovingkindness in the morning,For I trust in You.Teach me the way in which I should walk,For I lift up my soul to You.
In your lovingkindness, silence and destroy my enemiesAnd destroy all those who afflict my life,For I am Your servant.
