'Know' in the Bible
And Jehovah Elohim said, Behold, Man is become as one of us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he stretch out his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever ...!
And Jehovah said to Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: am I my brother's keeper?

And they said, The man asked very closely after us, and after our kindred, saying, Is your father yet alive? have ye a brother? And we told him according to the tenor of these words. Could we at all know that he would say, Bring your brother down?
And other money have we brought down in our hand to buy food. We do not know who put our money in our sacks.
And Joseph said to them, What deed is this which ye have done? Did ye not know that such a man as I can certainly divine?
And thy servant my father said to us, Ye know that my wife bore me two sons;
But his father refused and said, I know, my son, I know: he also will become a people, and he also will be great; but truly his younger brother will be greater than he; and his seed will become the fulness of nations.
