'Last' in the Bible

In the last daysthe mountain of the Lord’s house will be establishedat the top of the mountainsand will be raised above the hills.All nations will stream to it,

My heart staggers;horror terrifies me.He has turned my last glimmer of hopeinto sheer terror.

Your deal with Death will be dissolved,and your agreement with Sheol will not last.When the overwhelming scourge passes through,you will be trampled.

Who has performed and done this,calling the generations from the beginning?I, Yahweh, am the first,and with the last—I am He.”

This is what the Lord, the King of Israel and its Redeemer, the Lord of Hosts, says:I am the first and I am the last.There is no God but Me.

“Listen to Me, Jacob,and Israel, the one called by Me:I am He; I am the first,I am also the last.

Look up to the heavens,and look at the earth beneath;for the heavens will vanish like smoke,the earth will wear out like a garment,and its inhabitants will die like gnats.But My salvation will last forever,and My righteousness will never be shattered.

For the moth will devour them like a garment,and the worm will eat them like wool.But My righteousness will last forever,and My salvation for all generations.

These dogs have fierce appetites;they never have enough.And they are shepherdswho have no discernment;all of them turn to their own way,every last one for his own gain.
