'Leather' in the Bible
So early the next morning, Abraham got up, took bread and a leather bottle of water, gave them to Hagar, and placed them on her shoulder. He then sent her away, along with the child. She went off and roamed in the Beer-sheba wilderness.
Eventually, the water in the leather bottle ran out, so she placed the child under one of the bushes.

"You are to make a covering for the tent out of ram skins dyed red and over that a covering of fine leather.

Everyone who had blue, purple, or scarlet yarn, fine linen, goats' hair, ram skins dyed red, or fine leather brought them.

and the coverings of ram skins dyed red, the covering of fine leather, and the protecting curtain;
When any one of them dies and falls on anything it becomes unclean—any item of wood, clothing, leather, sackcloth, or any implement used for work. It is to be rinsed with water and will remain unclean until evening; then it will be clean.
in the warp or woof of linen or wool, or in leather or anything made of leather—
and if the contamination is green or red in the fabric, the leather, the warp, the woof, or any leather article, it is a mildew contamination and is to be shown to the priest.
The priest is to reexamine the contamination on the seventh day. If it has spread in the fabric, the warp, the woof, or the leather, regardless of how it is used, the contamination is harmful mildew; it is unclean.
He is to burn the fabric, the warp or woof in wool or linen, or any leather article, which is contaminated. Since it is harmful mildew it must be burned up.
“When the priest examines it, if the contamination has not spread in the fabric, the warp or woof, or any leather article,
“If the priest examines it, and the contamination has faded after it has been washed, he must cut the contaminated section out of the fabric, the leather, or the warp or woof.
But if it reappears in the fabric, the warp or woof, or any leather article, it has broken out again. You must burn up whatever is contaminated.
But if the contamination disappears from the fabric, the warp or woof, or any leather article, which have been washed, it is to be washed again, and it will be clean.
“This is the law concerning a mildew contamination in wool or linen fabric, warp or woof, or any leather article, in order to pronounce it clean or unclean.”
And any leather seat on a horse on which the unclean man has been seated will be unclean.
Any clothing or leather on which there is an emission of semen must be washed with water, and it will remain unclean until evening.
Then they must put over it a covering of fine leather and spread over that a cloth entirely of blue, and then they must insert its poles.
They must spread over them a scarlet cloth, and cover the same with a covering of fine leather; and they must insert its poles.
Then they must put it with all its utensils in a covering of fine leather, and put it on a carrying beam.
"They must spread a blue cloth on the gold altar, and cover it with a covering of fine leather; and they must insert its poles.
Then they must take all the utensils of the service, with which they serve in the sanctuary, put them in a blue cloth, cover them with a covering of fine leather, and put them on a carrying beam.
Then they must place on it all its implements with which they serve there -- the trays, the meat forks, the shovels, the basins, and all the utensils of the altar -- and they must spread on it a covering of fine leather, and then insert its poles.
They are to carry the curtain of the tent, the covering of the Tent of Meeting, the dyed leather covering that goes over it, the curtain for the entrance to the Tent of Meeting,
Also purify everything: garments, leather goods, things made of goat hair, and every article of wood.”
He asked her, "Please give me some water to drink, because I'm thirsty." Instead, she opened a leather container of milk, gave him a drink, and then covered him up.
Then he took his stick in his hand, and got five smooth stones from the bed of the stream and put them in a bag such as is used by sheep-keepers; and in his hand was a leather band used for sending stones: and so he went in the direction of the Philistine.
And David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone and sent it from his leather band straight at the Philistine, and the stone went deep into his brow, and he went down to the earth, falling on his face.

And Uzziah had all these forces armed with body-covers and spears and head-covers and coats of metal and bows and stones for sending from leather bands.
You keep track of my misery. Put my tears in your leather container! Are they not recorded in your scroll?
Its posts were made of silver; its back was made of gold. Its seat was upholstered with purple wool; its interior was inlaid with leather by the maidens of Jerusalem.
The Lord told me, "Make a yoke out of leather straps and wooden crossbars and put it on your neck.
I clothed you in embroidered cloth and provided you with leather sandals. I also wrapped you in fine linen and covered you with silk.
I led them with leather cords, with leather ropes; I lifted the yoke from their neck, and gently fed them.
