'Mother' in the Bible
On the third day there was a wedding at Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there;
When the wine was all gone, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no more wine.”
His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”
After this He went down to Capernaum, He and His mother and brothers and His disciples; and they stayed there a few days.
They kept saying, “Is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How does He now [have the arrogance to] say, ‘I have come down out of heaven’?”
So the soldiers did these things.But standing by the cross of Jesus were His mother, His mother’s sister [Salome], Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.
So Jesus, seeing His mother, and the disciple whom He loved (esteemed) standing near, said to His mother, “[Dear] woman, look, [here is] your son!”
Then He said to the disciple (John), “Look! [here is] your mother [protect and provide for her]!” From that hour the disciple took her into his own home.
