'Number' in the Bible
And one said to him, Sir, are such as are to be saved few in number? But he said unto them,
And Satan entered into Judas, who was surnamed Iscariote, being of the number of the twelve.
And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place: the men therefore sat down, in number about five thousand.
But many of those who had heard the word believed; and the number of the men had become about five thousand.

and that no one should be able to buy or sell save he that had the mark, the name of the beast, or the number of its name.
Here is wisdom. He that has understanding let him count the number of the beast: for it is a man's number; and its number is six hundred and sixty-six.
And I saw as a glass sea, mingled with fire, and those that had gained the victory over the beast, and over its image, and over the number of its name, standing upon the glass sea, having harps of God.
