'Received' in the Bible

In vain have I smitten your children; they received no correction: your own sword hath devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion.

And thou shalt say unto them, This is the nation which hath not hearkened unto the voice of Jehovah their God, nor received correction; fidelity is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.

[The] harvest has passed, [the] summer has come to an end, and we have not received help.

Let the prophet who has had a dream go ahead and tell his dream. Let the person who has received my message report that message faithfully. What is like straw cannot compare to what is like grain! I, the Lord, affirm it!

King Zedekiah later sent for him and received him, and in his house privately asked him, “Is there a word from the Lord?”“There is,” Jeremiah responded, and he continued, “You will be handed over to the king of Babylon.”

King Zedekiah sent for Jeremiah the prophet and received him at the third entrance of the Lord’s temple. The king said to Jeremiah, “I am going to ask you something; don’t hide anything from me.”
