'Sure' in the Bible
Abraham answered him, “Make sure that you don’t take my son back there.
The Lord instructed Moses, “When you go back to Egypt, make sure you do all the wonders before Pharaoh that I have put within your power. But I will harden his heart so that he won’t let the people go.
Pharaoh said to him, “Leave me! Make sure you never see my face again, for on the day you see my face, you will die.”
“Command the Israelites and say to them: Be sure to present to Me at its appointed time My offering and My food as My fire offering, a pleasing aroma to Me.
But if you don’t do this, you will certainly sin against the Lord; be sure your sin will catch up with you.
do not be afraid of them. Be sure to remember what the Lord your God did to Pharaoh and all Egypt:
“If you see your brother’s ox or sheep straying, you must not ignore it; make sure you return it to your brother.
You may take the young for yourself, but be sure to let the mother go free, so that you may prosper and live long.
Be sure to return it to him at sunset. Then he will sleep in it and bless you, and this will be counted as righteousness to you before the Lord your God.
Be sure there is no man, woman, clan, or tribe among you today whose heart turns away from the Lord our God to go and worship the gods of those nations. Be sure there is no root among you bearing poisonous and bitter fruit.
Now please swear to me by the Lord that you will also show kindness to my family, because I showed kindness to you. Give me a sure sign
“I was sure you hated her,” her father said, “so I gave her to one of the men who accompanied you. Isn’t her younger sister more beautiful than she is? Why not take her instead?”
When she got up to gather grain, Boaz ordered his young men, “Let her even gather grain among the bundles, and don’t humiliate her.

Elisha told him, “Go say to him, ‘You are sure to recover.’ But the Lord has shown me that he is sure to die.”
Hazael left Elisha and went to his master, who asked him, “What did Elisha say to you?”He responded, “He told me you are sure to recover.”
But as for me, Lord,my prayer to You is for a time of favor.In Your abundant, faithful love, God,answer me with Your sure salvation.
Therefore the Lord God said:“Look, I have laid a stone in Zion,a tested stone,a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation;the one who believes will be unshakable.
Be sure that all who are enraged against youwill be ashamed and disgraced;those who contend with youwill become as nothing and will perish.
you claim, “I am innocent.His anger is sure to turn away from me.”But I will certainly judge youbecause you have said, “I have not sinned.”
Let us strive to know the Lord.His appearance is as sure as the dawn.He will come to us like the rain,like the spring showers that water the land.
And their eyes were opened. Then Jesus warned them sternly, “Be sure that no one finds out!”
I am sure of this, that He who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
To be sure, some preach Christ out of envy and strife, but others out of good will.
We have this hope as an anchor for our lives, safe and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain.
This is how we are sure that we have come to know Him: by keeping His commands.
