'Takes' in the Bible
Rebekah said to Isaac, “I am tired of living because of the daughters of Heth; if Jacob takes a wife from the daughters of Heth, like these, from the daughters of the land, what good will my life be to me?”
“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain.
If he takes to himself another woman, he may not reduce her food, her clothing, or her conjugal rights.
‘If there is a man who takes his sister, his father’s daughter or his mother’s daughter, so that he sees her nakedness and she sees his nakedness, it is a disgrace; and they shall be cut off in the sight of the sons of their people. He has uncovered his sister’s nakedness; he bears his guilt.
If there is a man who takes his brother’s wife, it is abhorrent; he has uncovered his brother’s nakedness. They will be childless.
‘If a man takes the life of any human being, he shall surely be put to death.
The one who takes the life of an animal shall make it good, life for life.
“This is the law of the Nazirite who vows his offering to the Lord according to his separation, in addition to what else he can afford; according to his vow which he takes, so he shall do according to the law of his separation.”
If a man makes a vow to the Lord, or takes an oath to bind himself with a binding obligation, he shall not violate his word; he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.

“If any man takes a wife and goes in to her and then turns against her,

You adulteress wife, who takes strangers instead of her husband!
