'Themselves' in the Bible

I will not be afraid of ten thousands of peopleWho have set themselves against me round about.

But at my stumbling they rejoiced and gathered themselves together;The smiters whom I did not know gathered together against me,They slandered me without ceasing.

Let those be ashamed and humiliated altogether who rejoice at my distress;Let those be clothed with shame and dishonor who magnify themselves over me.

But the humble will inherit the landAnd will delight themselves in abundant prosperity.

For I said, “May they not rejoice over me,Who, when my foot slips, would magnify themselves against me.”

You cause us to turn back from the adversary;And those who hate us have taken spoil for themselves.

The princes of the people have assembled themselves as the people of the God of Abraham,For the shields of the earth belong to God;He is highly exalted.

For, lo, the kings assembled themselves,They passed by together.

They have prepared a net for my steps;My soul is bowed down;They dug a pit before me;They themselves have fallen into the midst of it. Selah.

For no guilt of mine, they run and set themselves against me.Arouse Yourself to help me, and see!

They hold fast to themselves an evil purpose;They talk of laying snares secretly;They say, “Who can see them?”

The pastures of the wilderness drip,And the hills gird themselves with rejoicing.

He rules by His might forever;His eyes keep watch on the nations;Let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.

May his name endure forever;May his name increase as long as the sun shines;And let men bless themselves by him;Let all nations call him blessed.

You make us an object of contention to our neighbors,And our enemies laugh among themselves.

For behold, Your enemies make an uproar,And those who hate You have exalted themselves.

They pour forth words, they speak arrogantly;All who do wickedness vaunt themselves.

They band themselves together against the life of the righteousAnd condemn the innocent to death.

Let all those be ashamed who serve graven images,Who boast themselves of idols;Worship Him, all you gods.

They joined themselves also to Baal-peor,And ate sacrifices offered to the dead.

Let my accusers be clothed with dishonor,And let them cover themselves with their own shame as with a robe.
