'Things' in the Bible

To deliver you from the way of evil,From the man who speaks perverse things;

There are six things which the Lord hates,Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him:

“Listen, for I will speak noble things;And the opening of my lips will reveal right things.

“For wisdom is better than jewels;And all desirable things cannot compare with her.

He who tills his land will have plenty of bread,But he who pursues worthless things lacks sense.

The heart of the righteous ponders how to answer,But the mouth of the wicked pours out evil things.

He who winks his eyes does so to devise perverse things;He who compresses his lips brings evil to pass.

Have I not written to you excellent thingsOf counsels and knowledge,

Your eyes will see strange thingsAnd your mind will utter perverse things.

Evil men do not understand justice,But those who seek the Lord understand all things.

Two things I asked of You,Do not refuse me before I die:

The leech has two daughters,“Give,” “Give.”There are three things that will not be satisfied,Four that will not say, “Enough”:

There are three things which are too wonderful for me,Four which I do not understand:

Under three things the earth quakes,And under four, it cannot bear up:

Four things are small on the earth,But they are exceedingly wise:

There are three things which are stately in their march,Even four which are stately when they walk:
