'Violence' in the Bible
His trouble comes back on his own head,and his violence falls on the top of his head.
Cursing, deceit, and violence fill his mouth;trouble and malice are under his tongue.
The Lord examines the righteous and the wicked.He hates the lover of violence.
Do not give me over to the will of my foes,for false witnesses rise up against me,breathing violence.
Lord, confuse and confound their speech,for I see violence and strife in the city;
No, you practice injustice in your hearts;with your hands you weigh out violence in the land.
He will redeem them from oppression and violence,for their lives are precious in his sight.
Therefore, pride is their necklace,and violence covers them like a garment.
Consider the covenant,for the dark places of the land are full of violence.
