'Violence' in the Bible

How long, Lord, must I call for helpand You do not listenor cry out to You about violenceand You do not save?

Why do You force me to look at injustice?Why do You tolerate wrongdoing?Oppression and violence are right in front of me.Strife is ongoing, and conflict escalates.

All of them come to do violence;their faces are set in determination.They gather prisoners like sand.

Since you have plundered many nations,all the peoples who remain will plunder you—because of human bloodshedand violence against lands, cities,and all who live in them.

For your violence against Lebanonwill overwhelm you;the destruction of animals will terrify youbecause of your human bloodshed and violenceagainst lands, cities, and all who live in them.
