Conscience » A good conscience
having a good conscience, that as to that in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may be ashamed who calumniate your good conversation in Christ.
maintaining faith and a good conscience; which last some, having put away, have made shipwreck as to faith;
For our boasting is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and sincerity before God, (not in fleshly wisdom but in God's grace,) we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly towards you.
Faithful is the word, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the first.
For this cause I also exercise myself to have in everything a conscience without offence towards God and men.
