Paul and Barnabas entered the synagogue of the Jews at Iconium. There they spoke to a great crowd of Jews and Greeks who became believers. The unbelieving Jews stirred up the people of the nations and poisoned their minds against the brothers. The apostles stayed there for a long time. They spoke boldly by the authority of God who proved that their message about his grace was true by giving them the power to perform miracles and wonders. read more.
The people of the city were divided. Some were for the Jews and others for the apostles. Then some of the people of the nations and Jews, together with their leaders, decided to mistreat the apostles and stone them. They knew about it and fled to Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and to the country around them. They preached the good news there, too.



When Jesus went to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples aside and talked to them.

When Saul came to Jerusalem he attempted to join the disciples. They were afraid of him and did not believe he was a disciple.


Having found the disciples, we stayed there seven days. Guided by the Spirit the disciples urged Paul not to go to Jerusalem.
