He took him by the right hand, and lifted him up. Immediately his feet and anklebones received strength.

This man you see and know was made strong by his faith in the name of Jesus. His faith has given him total healing in your presence.

Love Jehovah your God, and obey all his laws, regulations and commandments. Know today that I do not speak with your sons who have not known and who have not seen the discipline of Jehovah your God. While he was speaking, an official came and paid him respect. He said: By now my daughter must be dead. Come and lay your hand on her and she will live. Jesus and his disciples got up and followed him.

Jairus, a ruler of the synagogue, saw Jesus and fell at his feet. He pleaded with him saying: My little daughter is at the point of death. Please come and lay your hands on her that she will be healed and live. Jesus went with him. A great crowd followed him and they pressed very close to him.

While he yet spoke they came from the ruler of the synagogue's house. They said: Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble the teacher. But Jesus did not listen. The house of the ruler of the synagogue was filled with commotion. Many were weeping and wailing. He entered and said: Why all the commotion and why do you weep. The child is not dead but sleeps. They laughed him to scorn. He sent them all out of the house. Then he took the father, mother and his companions and went to the child. He took the child by the hand and said to her: Talitha cumi. He gave them firm orders not to tell any man about this. Then he commanded that she be given something to eat.

He went into a nearby house. The blind men followed him. Jesus asked them: Do you believe that I can heal you? They said: Yes Lord.

He heard Paul speaking. Paul looked intently at him, and seeing that he had faith to be healed,

He did not do many mighty works there because of their lack of faith.

The apostles stayed there for a long time. They spoke boldly by the authority of God who proved that their message about his grace was true by giving them the power to perform miracles and wonders.

The magicians said to the king: It is the finger of God! (God has done this!) But the king was stubborn. Just as Jehovah predicted, the king would not listen to Moses and Aaron.

The crowd kept silent and listened to Barnabas and Paul. They declared the miracles and wonders God performed through them among the people of the nations.

God did special miracles by the hands of Paul.

Truly the signs of an apostle were accomplished among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.

Until you see signs and wonders you will not believe, Jesus said.

You brought your people Israel out of the land of Egypt using signs and wonders. You did this with a strong hand, with an outstretched arm and with great terror.

Evening came and the disciples approached Jesus and said: This place is desolate. Send the people away so they may go to the villages and buy themselves food.

Then he looked up to heaven and blessed the food. He took the five loaves and the two fishes, and broke the loaves into pieces and gave them to his disciples. He also divided the two fishes. He gave the food to his disciples to serve to the people.

As the day wore on the twelve came to him and said: Send the people away, that they may go into the villages and country nearby to find lodging and get food, for we are here in a lonely place.

Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming to him. He asked Philip: Where will we buy enough bread to feed them?

When he entered a boat, his disciples followed him. Suddenly a storm blew in and the boat was covered with waves. Jesus was asleep. And they came to him, woke him, and cried: Save us, Lord, or we will perish. read more.
He said to them: Why are you afraid, you of little faith? Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the sea. Suddenly there was a great calm. The disciples were in awe. They asked: What kind of man is this, for even the winds and the sea obey him?

A great crowd followed him when they departed from Jericho. Two blind men sitting by the side of the road heard Jesus pass by and cried out: Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David! He saw that they were tired of rowing for the wind was against them. It was the fourth watch of the night. He walked on the sea and was about to pass them. Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered him, saying: Teacher, we want to see a sign from you. He answered them: An evil and adulterous generation seeks a sign. No sign will be given but the sign of Jonah the prophet.

When they approached the people, a man fell to his knees before him, saying: Lord, have mercy on my son. He has mental problems and is in great pain. He frequently falls into the fire and into the water. I took him to your disciples, and they were not able to make him well. read more.

Knowing what happened she fell down before him, and told him the truth. He said: Daughter your faith has made you whole. Go in peace and be healed of your affliction.

Jesus said: Someone did touch me. I perceived that power went from me. When the woman knew she was discovered she trembled, fell down before him and declared in the presence of all the people why she touched him, and how she was healed immediately. He said to her: Daughter, your faith has made you whole; go in peace.

He left the synagogue and went to Simon's house. Simon's mother in law was suffering with a great fever. They asked him to help her. He stood over her and rebuked the fever. It left her and immediately she rose up and ministered to them.

Jesus and his disciples, including James and John, left the synagogue and went directly to the home of Simon and Andrew. Simon's mother-in-law was in bed with a fever. At once they told Jesus about her. He took her by the hand and helped her sit up. The fever suddenly left. So she got up and prepared a meal for them.

Jesus went to Peter's house. He saw his wife's mother lying sick of a fever. He touched her hand and the fever left her. She arose, and ministered to him. That evening, they brought many people possessed with demons to him. He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all that were sick. read more.

They were extremely violent, so no man could pass by that way. They screamed at him, saying: What have we to do with you, Son of God? Have you come to torment us before the time? The demons pleaded with him: If you cast us out, send us into the herd of swine! He told them to go. And they came out, and went into the swine. The entire herd rushed down the hill into the sea, where they perished in the waters. The herdsmen fled to the city to tell everything that happened to the swine that were possessed with demons. Everyone in the city came out to meet Jesus. They begged him to go away from their country.

They traveled to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gerasenes. Just as he got out of the boat a man with an unclean spirit came to him from the tombs. He was living in the tombs. No man was able to bind him even with a chain. read more.
Often he was bound in chains and iron bands but he would break them. No man was strong enough to keep him still. Day and night in the tombs and in the mountains he cried out. He would cut himself with stones. He saw Jesus from far off and quickly approached and bowed down before him. Crying out with a loud voice, he said: What have I to do with you, Jesus, Son of the highest God? In God's name do not torment me! Jesus commanded: Come out of the man you unclean spirit! Then Jesus said: What is your name? He answered: My name is Legion because there are a great number of us. He earnestly implored him not to send the spirits away out of the country. There was a large herd of pigs feeding on the mountainside. They pleaded with Jesus: Send us into the pigs! He let them do it. Then the unclean spirits came out and went into the pigs. The herd went rushing down a sharp slope into the sea. About two thousand of them died in the sea. Their keepers ran off to the town to tell others what happened. People came to see what had taken place. When they came to Jesus they saw the man who had been demon possessed. He was fully clothed and in full use of his senses. So they were afraid. Those who saw the event gave a full account of what happened to the man, the evil spirits and the pigs. They asked Jesus to leave their country. Entering the boat, the man who had been possessed with demons asked that he might be allowed to travel with him. Jesus told him: Go to your house and to your friends and tell them about the great things God did for you and how he had mercy on you. He went away and told others in Decapolis what great things Jesus had done for him. They all marveled.

They arrived at the country of the Gerasenes, which is near Galilee. When he arrived on the shore, a demon-possessed man met him. He wore no clothes and did not live in a house but in the tombs. He had been this way a long time. When he saw Jesus he cried out and fell down in front of him. He shouted in a loud voice: What have I to do with you, Jesus, you Son of the Most High God? I implore you do not torment me. read more.

The herdsmen saw what happened and rushed to the city to tell others. They went out to see what happened. They came to Jesus and found the man who had been demon possessed. He was clothed, in his right mind and sitting at the feet of Jesus. They were afraid. They then learned how he was possessed with demons and became whole. The people of the country of the Gerasenes asked Jesus to depart. They were very much afraid. So he boarded a boat and left. The man who once had demons asked him if he could go with him. Jesus sent him away saying: Return to your house and declare the great things God has done for you. He went throughout the whole city telling the great things Jesus had done for him.

The unclean spirits fell down before him and cried: You are the Son of God.

Next, a dumb man possessed with a demon was brought to him. When the demon was cast out, the dumb man spoke. The crowd marveled, saying: We have never seen anything like this in Israel!

Someone possessed with a demon, blind and dumb was brought to him. He healed him and the dumb man spoke and could see. The crowds were amazed, and said: Can this be the son of David? When the Pharisees heard it, they said: This man casts out demons by Beelzebub, the prince of the demons. read more.
Knowing their thoughts, he said to them: Every kingdom divided against itself is destroyed. Every city or house divided against itself will not stand. If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How will his kingdom stand? If I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Let them be your judges. But if I cast out demons by God's Spirit, then the kingdom of God has come to you. How can one enter into the house of a strong man and steal his things, except he first tie up the strong man? Then he can rob his house. He that is not with me is against me. And he that does not gather with me, scatters. Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men. But the blasphemy against God's Spirit will not be forgiven. Whoever speaks a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him. But whoever speaks against Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this age, nor in that which is to come. Either make the tree good, and its fruit good, or make the tree corrupt, and its fruit corrupt. The fruit a tree produces provides its reputation. You offspring of vipers. How can you who are evil speak good things? Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. The good man performs good things out of his good treasure. The evil man performs evil things out of his evil treasure. I tell you there will be an account in the Judgment Day for every careless word that men say. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.

He cast out a demon from a dumb man. When the demon left the man he spoke and the crowds were astonished. Some of them said: Beelzebub the prince of the demons casts out demons.

They saw the God of Israel. Under his feet was something that looked like a pavement made out of sapphire. It was as bright as the sky.

On the morning of the third day there were thunder and lightning flashes and a thick cloud upon the mountain. A very loud trumpet sounded. It caused all the people in the camp to tremble. Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet God. They stood at the foot of the mountain. Mount Sinai was all in smoke because Jehovah descended upon it in fire. Its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace. The whole mountain quaked violently! read more.
The sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder. Moses spoke and God answered him with thunder. Jehovah descended on the top of Mount Sinai. Jehovah called Moses to the top of the mountain. Moses climbed to the peak of Mount Sinai.

Moses went up to the mountain. The cloud covered the mountain. The glory of Jehovah rested on Mount Sinai. The cloud covered it for six days. God called to Moses on the seventh day. He spoke from inside the cloud. To the eyes of the Israelites the appearance of the glory of Jehovah was like a consuming fire on the top of the mountain.

Did people ever hear the voice of God speaking out of the middle of the fire, as you have heard, and live?

When he arrived at the other side of the lake in the country of the Gadarenes two men possessed by demons came to him from out of the tombs. They were extremely violent, so no man could pass by that way.

They traveled to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gerasenes.

They arrived at the country of the Gerasenes, which is near Galilee.

He reached out his hand and touched him, saying: I want to. Be made clean. Right away his leprosy was cleansed.

Moved with compassion Jesus touched him. I want to, he said. Be healed!

He stretched forth his hand and touched him, saying: I want to, be made clean. Immediately the leprosy departed from him.

There he saw a man who had a withered hand. They asked him if it is lawful to heal on the Sabbath day? They wanted to accuse him.

He entered the Synagogue again. There was a man there whose hand was withered.

He entered into the synagogue on the Sabbath and taught. There was a man there whose right hand was withered.

Jesus walked all over Galilee teaching in the synagogues. He preached the Good News about the Kingdom. He also healed every kind of disease and infirmity among the people. News about him spread throughout the country of Syria. People sick and suffering from diseases, people with demons, epileptics and paralytics, came to him. Jesus healed them all. Because of this, large crowds followed him from Galilee, Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and the land on the other side of the Jordan.

When the men of that place heard the news about Jesus they told everyone in the country. The sick were taken to him. They wanted to touch his robe to be made well.

When Jesus came down from the mountain, large crowds followed him. A leper came to him and bowed down before him, saying: Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean. He reached out his hand and touched him, saying: I want to. Be made clean. Right away his leprosy was cleansed. read more.
Jesus told him not to tell anyone. Show yourself to the priests and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.

A man with leprosy knelt in front of Jesus and begged to be healed. If you want to, you can make me well, he said. Moved with compassion Jesus touched him. I want to, he said. Be healed! Instantly the leprosy disappeared and man was healed. read more.
Jesus sent him away and warned him. Go directly to the priest and let him examine you. Do not talk to anyone along the way. Take the offering the Law of Moses requires for those healed of leprosy. That way everyone will have proof of your healing. But the man gave a public account of his healing everywhere he went. Soon crowds surrounded Jesus and he could not enter a town publicly. He had to stay in secluded places and people continued to come to him.

One time while he was in one of the cities a man full of leprosy fell on his face before Jesus. He said: Lord, if you want to you can make me clean. He stretched forth his hand and touched him, saying: I want to, be made clean. Immediately the leprosy departed from him. He told him to tell no one and go and show himself to the priest. Then he was to make a cleansing offering, just as Moses commanded, for a testimony to them. read more.
The news about him spread far away and large crowds gathered to hear him and to be healed of their infirmities. He withdrew to a quiet place and prayed.

A man on a bed, a paralytic, was brought to Jesus. Seeing their faith Jesus said to the sick man: Have courage; your sins are forgiven.

Men came to him carrying a paralyzed man.

Men brought a man on a bed. He was paralyzed. They tried to bring him in and lay him before Jesus.

He saw the great crowd, had compassion on them, and healed their sick.

Jesus went from there to the Sea of Galilee. He went up into the mountain and sat down. Many people came to him. They brought those who were lame, crippled, blind, mute, and many other people. They laid them down at his feet and he healed them. The people marveled as they saw the mute speak, the crippled and lame walk, and the blind see. They glorified the God of Israel.

He left and went into their synagogue. There he saw a man who had a withered hand. They asked him if it is lawful to heal on the Sabbath day? They wanted to accuse him. He said to them: Which of you having one sheep, if this sheep fell into a pit on the Sabbath day, will not get it and lift it out. read more.
How much more value is a man than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath day! Then he said to the man: Stretch out your hand. He stretched it out and it was restored whole like the other.

He entered the Synagogue again. There was a man there whose hand was withered. They watched to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath day. Then they might have something against him. He said to the man: Get up and come forward. read more.
Then he asked the Pharisees, Is it right to do good on the Sabbath or to do evil? Is it right to give life or to put to death? But they said nothing. He looked at them and was angry. He was also sad on account of their hard hearts. He said to the man: Stretch out your hand. He stretched it out and his hand was healed.

He entered into the synagogue on the Sabbath and taught. There was a man there whose right hand was withered. The scribes and the Pharisees watched to see if he would heal on the Sabbath. They looked for a way to accuse him. He knew their thoughts. So he said to the man that had the withered hand: Stand up and come here. He arose and stepped forward. read more.
Jesus said: I ask you, is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do harm? Is it lawful to save a life, or to destroy it? He looked around at everyone and said to the man: Stretch out your hand. And he did so and his hand was restored. They were all very angry and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus.

Jesus entered a boat and crossed over to his own city (Capernaum), on the other side of the lake. A man on a bed, a paralytic, was brought to Jesus. Seeing their faith Jesus said to the sick man: Have courage; your sins are forgiven. Some of the scribes said among themselves: This man has no respect for God. read more.
Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said: Why are your thoughts evil? Which is easier, to say, your sins are forgiven, or to say, get up and walk? So that you know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins [he turned and spoke to the paralytic or paralyzed man]: Get up, take your bed and go to your house. He arose, and departed to his house. But when the people saw it, they marveled, and glorified God who had given such authority to men.

Several days later Jesus returned to Capernaum. The word spread that he was home. So many people gathered that there was no room left even by the door. Jesus was speaking God's word to them. Men came to him carrying a paralyzed man. read more.
They could not bring him to Jesus because of the crowd. So they removed the roof over the place where Jesus was. Then they lowered the cot on which the paralyzed man was lying. When Jesus saw their faith, he told the man: Friend your sins are forgiven. Some of the scribes sitting there reasoned in their hearts: Why does this man speak this way? He blasphemes for only God is the one who can forgive sins. Jesus immediately discerned in his spirit that they reasoned within themselves. He asked them: Why reason these things in your hearts? Which is easier to say to the sick man your sins are forgiven or take your bed and walk? So you may see that the Son of man has authority to forgive sins on earth, he said to the man: Get up and take your bed, and go to your house. He got up, took the bed and went out before them all. They were all filled with wonder. They gave glory to God and said we have never seen anything like this.

One day when he was teaching, Pharisees and doctors of the Law were in the crowd. People came from every village of Galilee, Judea and Jerusalem. God's power was with him to heal. Men brought a man on a bed. He was paralyzed. They tried to bring him in and lay him before Jesus. They could not find a way to bring him in because of the crowd. So they went up to the housetop and let the man and the bed down through the tiles to Jesus. read more.
Seeing their faith, Jesus said: Man your sins are forgiven you. The scribes and the Pharisees reasoned saying: Who is this that speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone? Jesus perceived their reasoning and said to them: Why do you reason in your hearts? Which is easier to say your sins are forgiven or arise and walk? So you may know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins, he said to the man who was paralyzed, I say to you, arise, take up your bed and go to your house. Immediately he rose up before them, took his bed and departed to his house, glorifying God. Everyone was amazed and they glorified God. They were filled with fear. They said: We have seen strange things today.

Remember the miracles he performed. And remember the amazing things he did and the judgments he pronounced.

Remember the marvelous works that he has done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth.

He left them and went out of the town to Bethany where he stayed for the night. He was hungry in the morning when he returned to the town. He saw a fig tree along the side of the road. He went to it and saw nothing on it but leaves. He told it: You will not bare fruit from this time forward, forever. Immediately the fig tree became dry and dead. read more.
The disciples were surprised when they saw it. They asked how the fig tree became dry so quickly? Jesus answered: If you have faith and do not doubt, I make this promise to you: You will be able to do what was done to this fig tree. When you say to this mountain, be moved into the sea, it will be done. You will receive the things you ask for in prayer when you have faith.

The next day they left Bethany. He was hungry. He saw a fig tree far off. When he got closer he found nothing but leaves for it was not the season of figs. He spoke about the tree that no man would ever eat fruit from it from that day forward.

They passed by in the morning and saw the fig tree withered away from the roots. Peter remembered and said: Teacher look, the fig tree that you cursed is withered away. Jesus answered: Have faith in God. read more.
Truly I say faithful ones shall say to this mountain, be cast into the sea and it will happen. There must be no doubt in his heart and he must believe that what he says will come to pass. I tell you, believe that you receive what you pray for and you shall have it.

The apostles stayed there for a long time. They spoke boldly by the authority of God who proved that their message about his grace was true by giving them the power to perform miracles and wonders.

He came to Jesus by night, and said to him: Rabbi! We know you are a teacher from God. No one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.

The crowd kept silent and listened to Barnabas and Paul. They declared the miracles and wonders God performed through them among the people of the nations.

God did special miracles by the hands of Paul.

Truly the signs of an apostle were accomplished among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.

Until you see signs and wonders you will not believe, Jesus said.

You brought your people Israel out of the land of Egypt using signs and wonders. You did this with a strong hand, with an outstretched arm and with great terror.

He went into a nearby house. The blind men followed him. Jesus asked them: Do you believe that I can heal you? They said: Yes Lord.

He heard Paul speaking. Paul looked intently at him, and seeing that he had faith to be healed,

Often it casts him into the fire and into the water to destroy him. If you can do anything have compassion on us and help us. Jesus said to him: All things are possible to him who has faith. Both father and child immediately shouted: I have faith make my faith stronger.

If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would have no sin. They have seen and hated both my Father and me.

Then he denounced the cities where most of his mighty works were done, because they did not repent. Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! If the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon that were done in you, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. I say to you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the Day of Judgment than for you. read more.
Will you, Capernaum, be exalted into heaven? You will go down into the grave. If the mighty works had been done in Sodom, which were done in you, it would have remained until this day. But I say to you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the Day of Judgment, than for you.

The beast was captured, and with him the false prophet that performed signs before him, with which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast, and those who worshiped his image. These both were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with sulfur.

He will use every kind of wicked deceit on those who will perish. They will perish because they did not welcome and love the truth so as to be saved. So God dispatches the power of deceit (error) to work in them so that they are allowed to believe what is false. Then everyone who did not believe the truth, but was delighted with wickedness, will be condemned.

And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles he had power to do in the sight of the beast. He says to those who dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast that had the wound by a sword and yet lives.

But if I cast out demons by God's Spirit, then the kingdom of God has come to you.

Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God. From Jerusalem, and round about Illyricum, I have fully preached the good news of Christ.

Moses held his staff over the land of Egypt. Jehovah made a wind from the east blow over the land all that day and all that night. By morning the east wind had brought the locusts.

Jehovah changed the wind to a very strong west wind. It picked up the locusts and blew them into the Red Sea. Not one locust was left anywhere in Egypt.

Suddenly there was a massive earthquake. It was so great the foundations of the prison-house were shaken. All the doors were opened and everyone's bands came off.

During the night God's angel opened the prison doors, brought them out and said: Go stand in the temple and speak to the people all the sayings about this life. When they heard that, they entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and those who were with him. He called the council together and all the senate of the children of Israel and sent to the prison to have them brought. read more.
The officers did not find them in the prison when they came. So they returned and said, We found the prison locked with the guards standing before the doors. When we opened it we did not find a man.

It was the night before Herod was to bring him to trial. Peter was sleeping between two soldiers. He was bound with two chains. Sentries stood guard at the prison door. Suddenly God's angel came to him. A light shined in the prison. He struck Peter on the side, and woke him up saying: Get up quickly. And his chains fell off of his hands. The angel said: Dress yourself and put on sandals. Put on your coat and follow me. So Peter did as he was told. read more.
Peter followed him out of the prison. He did not know what the angel was doing was really happening. He thought he saw a vision. They went past the first and second guard to the Iron Gate that leads to the city. The gate opened and went out on the street. The angel then departed from him. Peter came to himself and he said: Now I know for sure that God sent his angel and delivered me out of the hand of Herod and from all the expectation of the Jews.

She did this for many days. This troubled Paul. So he turned and said to the spirit, I charge you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her! And it came out that very hour.

God did special miracles by the hands of Paul. Handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched his body were put on the sick and the evil spirits went away.

His father was sick in bed. He suffered from fever and dysentery. Paul went to him, prayed, placed his hands on him, and made him well. After that happened, other sick people on the island went to Paul and were made well.

I will do things that shock and amaze them. I will destroy the wisdom of those who claim to know and understand (discern).

Remember the marvelous works that he has done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth.

Even though he performed many miracles in front of them they did not believe in him.

none of the people who saw my glory and the miraculous signs I did in Egypt and in the desert will see the land I promised their ancestors. They have tested me now ten times and refused to obey me.

They arrived at Jericho. He left there with his disciples and a large crowd. A blind beggar named Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, was sitting by the side of the road.

Jesus left that place and walked along the road. Two blind men followed him. They shouted: Have mercy on us, Son of David!

Two blind men sitting by the side of the road heard Jesus pass by and cried out: Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!

Someone possessed with a demon, blind and dumb was brought to him. He healed him and the dumb man spoke and could see.

Next, a dumb man possessed with a demon was brought to him.

He cast out a demon from a dumb man. When the demon left the man he spoke and the crowds were astonished.

The people with one accord gave heed to those things Philip spoke, hearing and seeing the miracles he did.

I will not dare to speak of any of those things that Christ has not accomplished through me. I will lead the nations to obey God in word and deed. Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God. From Jerusalem, and round about Illyricum, I have fully preached the good news of Christ.

I warn you that if you refuse, I will punish you by sending flies on you, your officials, and your people. The houses of the Egyptians will be full of flies. The ground will be covered with them.

Jehovah did what Moses asked. The swarms of flies left Pharaoh, his officials, and his people. Not a single fly was left.

A woman whose little daughter had an evil spirit heard about Jesus. She went to him and bowed down.

A woman of Canaan came crying and saying: Have pity on me, O Lord, Son of David; my daughter is greatly troubled with an unclean spirit.

Elijah the Tishbite, of Tishbe in Gilead, said to Ahab: By the living Jehovah, the God of Israel, whose servant I am, there will be no dew or rain in these years, but only at my word.

Elijah was a man of like passions with us. He prayed fervently that it might not rain; and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months.

I did this because I want you to tell your children and your grandchildren about the mighty things and the signs I have done in Egypt. Then all of you will know that I am Jehovah.

Gideon said to him: May I ask, sir, why has all this happened to us if Jehovah is with us? What happened to all the wonderful things that our fathers told us Jehovah used to do, how he brought them out of Egypt? Jehovah has abandoned us. He left us to the mercy of the Midianites.

When he was in Jerusalem at the Passover feast, many saw the signs he did and expressed active faith in his name.

Jesus did many miracles (signs) in the presence of the disciples. They are not written in this book. These are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. By believing you may have life in his name.

Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh. They did as Jehovah commanded. Aaron threw his staff down in front of Pharaoh and his officials. It became a large snake.

Jehovah said: Throw it on the ground. When Moses threw it on the ground, it became a snake, and he ran away from it.

Aaron told them everything Jehovah had said to Moses. He also did the miraculous signs for the people.

If in spite of these two signs they still will not believe you, and if they refuse to listen to what you say, take some water from the Nile and pour it on the ground. The water will turn into blood.

So Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt. The frogs came up and covered the land of Egypt.

Jehovah did as Moses asked. The frogs in the houses, the courtyards, and the fields died.

Tell the discouraged ones with anxious heart: Be strong and do not be afraid! God is coming to your rescue! He is coming to punish your enemies. Then the blind will be able to see, and the deaf will hear. The lame will leap and dance, and those who cannot speak will shout for joy. Streams of water will flow through the desert plain.

In the last days I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh. Your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams. Your young men will see visions! (Ac 2:17; Isa 44:3) I will also pour out my Spirit upon the male and female servants in those days. (Ac 10:45; Zec 12:10; Eze 36:27)

Jesus went away from there into the country of Tyre and Sidon. A woman of Canaan came crying and saying: Have pity on me, O Lord, Son of David; my daughter is greatly troubled with an unclean spirit. He did not answer her. His disciples said to him: Send her away; she keeps shouting at us. read more.
He answered: I was sent only to the wandering sheep of the house of Israel. She bowed down before him and asked for help. He said: It is not right to take the children's bread and give it to the dogs. She said: Yes, Lord; but even the dogs take the scraps from under their masters' table. O woman, Jesus replied, your faith is great! Let your desire be done. And her daughter was made well from that hour.

Jesus went to the territory of Tyre and Sidon. He did not want anyone to know that he was staying in a house there. However it could not be kept a secret. A woman whose little daughter had an evil spirit heard about Jesus. She went to him and bowed down. The woman was a Greek Syrophoenician by race. She wanted him to drive out the demon out of her daughter. read more.
He said to her: Let the children be fed first. It is not proper to take the children's bread and cast it to the dogs. She answered: Yes Lord, even the dogs under the table eat from the children's crumbs. Then he replied: Thanks to your answer you may leave for the demon has gone out of your daughter. She went to her house and found the child on the bed with the demon gone.

Jesus called his disciples and said: I feel compassion for the people, because they have remained with me now three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, for they might faint on the way.

After eating they picked up seven baskets full of food.

These signs will accompany those who believe. They will cast out demons in my name. They will speak with new languages.

This man you see and know was made strong by his faith in the name of Jesus. His faith has given him total healing in your presence.

You extend your hand to heal and signs and wonders appear in the name of your holy servant Jesus.

The evil spirit shook the man hard, gave a loud scream, and came out of him.

A man in the synagogue had a spirit of an unclean demon. He cried out with a loud voice: What have we to do with you Jesus, you Nazarene? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are. You are the Holy One of God! Jesus rebuked him, saying: Be quiet and come out of him. When the demon had thrown him down in front of them, he came out of him without harming him. read more.
All were amazed and spoke to one another. What is he telling us? For he speaks with authority and with power he commands the unclean spirits and they come out.

The birth (genesis: origin) (beginning) of Jesus Christ was as follows: His mother Mary had been promised to Joseph in marriage. But before they were married, Mary realized that she was pregnant by Holy Spirit. Her husband Joseph was an honorable man and did not want to disgrace her publicly. So he decided to break the marriage agreement with her secretly. Joseph had this in mind when God's angel appeared to him in a dream. The angel said to him: Joseph, descendant of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. She is pregnant by Holy Spirit. read more.
She will give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus (Jehovah (YHWH) is salvation), because he will save his people from their sins. All this happened so that what God spoke through the prophet came true: The virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and they will name him Immanuel, which means: God (God-like one) is with us. (John 1:18) When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of God had commanded him to do. He took Mary to be his wife. He did not have marital relations with her before she gave birth to a son. Joseph named the child Jesus.

The next month God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth in Galilee to a virgin named Mary. Mary was engaged to Joseph, a descendant of King David. Gabriel appeared to her and said: Greetings highly favored one. God is with you. read more.
She was greatly troubled by this and wondered about the meaning of this salutation. The angel said to Mary: Do not fear for you have found favor with God. You will conceive in your womb and give birth to a son. You will call his name Jesus. He will be great. He will be called the Son of the Most High. Jehovah God will give him the throne of his father David. (Isaiah 11:1-10) He will reign over the house of Jacob forever. His kingdom will not end. Mary asked the angel: How is this to be for I have had no intercourse with a man? The angel replied: Holy Spirit would come to you and the power of the Most High will envelope you. Because of this the newborn will be called the Son of God. Your relative Elisabeth has also conceived a son even in her old age. This so-called barren woman is in her sixth month. When God speaks, these things are possible. Mary said: Look, Jehovah's servant. Let it happen to me as you spoke. The angel departed from her. (1 Samuel 1:11) Mary traveled with haste to the city of Judah in the hill country. She entered the home of Zechariah and greeted Elisabeth. When Elisabeth heard the greeting from Mary, the babe leaped in her womb. Elisabeth was filled with Holy Spirit. She shouted loudly: Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! How is it that the mother of my Lord should come to me? When I heard your greeting the baby leaped in my womb for joy. Blessed is she that believes. That which God spoke will be fulfilled. Mary said: My life magnifies Jehovah my God. (1 Samuel 2:1) My heart and mind rejoice in God my Savior. He has looked on the low position of his servant. All generations from now on will call me blessed. He that is mighty has done great things to me. Holy is his name. His mercy is to all generations for all who respect him. He shows strength with his arm. He scatters the proud in the thoughts of their heart. He removes rulers from their thrones and exalts the humble. He fills the hungry with good things and sends the rich away empty handed. He has helped Israel his servant that he might remember mercy. He spoke to our fathers. To Abraham and his seed forever. Mary stayed with Elisabeth about three months, and returned to her house. Now it was time for Elisabeth to give birth. She gave birth to a son. Her neighbors and her relatives heard that Jehovah magnified his mercy towards her; and they rejoiced with her. On the eighth day they circumcised the child. They planned to call him Zechariah, after the name of the father. His mother spoke up and said: He shall be called John. They all said: None of your relatives are called by this name. They made signs to his father, what he would have him called. He asked for a writing tablet, and wrote, His name is John. They were all amazed. Immediately his tongue loosed, his mouth opened and he spoke, blessing God. Everyone nearby was in fear. These accounts spread abroad throughout all the hill country of Judea. All that heard them wondered in their heart, saying, What will this child be? For the hand of Jehovah was with him. His father Zechariah was filled with Holy Spirit and prophesied, saying, Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel. He has visited his people and brought them redemption. (Psalm 72:18) He raised up a horn of salvation (power of deliverance) for us in the house of his servant David He spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets from ages past. He provided salvation from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us. He shows mercy towards our fathers and remembers his holy covenant. It was the oath he spoke to Abraham our father. He gave us deliverance out of the hand of our enemies so we could serve him without fear. May we serve in holiness and righteousness before him all our days. Your child will be called the prophet of the Most High. You will go in advance of Jehovah God to make his ways ready. (Malachi 3:1) To give knowledge of salvation to his people in the remission of their sins. A rising of light will visit us from on high because of the tender mercy of our God. The light will shine on them who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death. It will guide our feet into the way of peace. The child grew and became spiritually strong. He lived in the deserts till the time came to show himself to Israel.

When he finished speaking, the ground under them split, and the earth opened up to swallow them, their families, the followers of Korah, and all their property. They went down alive to their graves with everything that belonged to them. The ground covered them. They disappeared from the assembly. read more.
All the Israelites around them ran away when they heard their screams. They thought the ground would swallow them, also. Fire came from Jehovah and consumed the two hundred and fifty men who were offering incense.

And what he did to Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, the son of Reuben, when the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them, their households, their tents, and every living thing that followed them in all Israel. You have seen with your own eyes all the great deeds Jehovah did.

She did this for many days. This troubled Paul. So he turned and said to the spirit, I charge you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her! And it came out that very hour.

God did special miracles by the hands of Paul.

Jesus called his disciples and said: I feel compassion for the people, because they have remained with me now three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, for they might faint on the way. The disciples replied: Where would we get so many loaves in this desolate place to satisfy such a large crowd? Jesus asked: How many loaves do you have? They said: Seven, and a few small fish. read more.
He told the people to sit down on the ground. He took the seven loaves and the fish and offered a prayer of thanksgiving. Then he broke them and gave them to the disciples. The disciples gave them to the people. They all ate and were satisfied. When they picked up what was left over of the broken pieces, there were seven large baskets full. Four thousand men, besides women and children were fed. After dismissing the crowds, Jesus took a boat to the region of Magadan.

It was one of those days when there was a great crowd of people. They had nothing to eat so he called his disciples. Jesus said: I am concerned for these people because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat. If I send them away to their houses with no food they will be weak and faint. His disciples answered, How could we get enough bread in this desolate place? Jesus responded: How much bread do you have? They said: Seven loaves. He made the people sit on the ground. Then he took the seven loaves and gave thanks. He gave the broken bread to his disciples and they served the people. They had some small fish. After blessing them he had them serve the people in the same way. After eating they picked up seven baskets full of food. About four thousand ate. Then he sent them away.

The angel of God, who had been going before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them. The pillar of cloud moved from before them and stood behind them. So it came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel. There was the cloud along with the darkness, yet it gave light at night. Thus the one did not come near the other all night.

Jehovah went in front of them in a pillar of cloud to show them the way during the day. He went in front of them in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel at night. The pillar of cloud was always in front of the people during the day, and the pillar of fire at night.

Abraham fell to his face. He laughed and said to himself: Will a son be born to a man a hundred years old? Will Sarah bear a child at the age of ninety?

Sarah became pregnant and bore a son to Abraham in his old age. It was at the very time God had promised him.

Therefore Sarah laughed within herself. She said to herself: After I have grown old, shall I have a baby? My lord is old also.

The chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council. They asked what they should do. This man does many signs and miracles.

They said: What shall we do to these men? The fact that a notable miracle has been done by them is evident to all who live in Jerusalem. And we cannot deny it.

When he entered Capernaum, a centurion (captain of one hundred men) approached him.

A centurion's servant, who was highly regarded by him, was sick and at the point of death.

He is not here. He has arisen! Remember how he spoke to you when he was yet in Galilee.

No one takes it away from me, but I lay it down voluntarily. I have authority (jurisdiction) (right) to lay it down, and I have authority to take it again. I have received this commandment from my Father.

The apostles stayed there for a long time. They spoke boldly by the authority of God who proved that their message about his grace was true by giving them the power to perform miracles and wonders.

God did special miracles by the hands of Paul.

They came to Jesus and earnestly pleaded with him saying: He is worthy and you should do this for him. He loves our nation and he also built our synagogue for us. Jesus went with them. As he approached the house, the centurion sent friends to him saying, Lord do not trouble yourself. I am not worthy that you should come under my roof. I am also not worthy to come to you. Just say the word, and my servant will be healed. I also am a man with much authority. I am in charge of soldiers and say to this one go and he goes and to another I say come and he comes. I tell my servant to do this and he does it. Jesus heard this and marveled at him. He turned to the crowd and said, I tell you I find no greater faith in Israel. When the messengers returned to the house they found the servant in good health.

When he entered Capernaum, a centurion (captain of one hundred men) approached him. He said: Lord, my servant is lying paralyzed at home and terribly tormented. Jesus said to him: I will come and heal him. read more.
The centurion replied to Jesus: Lord, I am not worthy that you come under my roof. Say the word and my servant will be healed. I also am a man having authority and commanding soldiers. I say to this one, 'Go,' and he goes; and to another, 'Come,' and he comes; and to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it. When Jesus heard it, he was amazed, and said to the crowd: I tell you, I have not found such great faith in Israel. I tell you, many will come from the east and the west, to sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven: but the sons of the kingdom will be cast forth into the outer darkness: there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Jesus said to the centurion: Go. Just as you believe, so it will be done to you. The servant was healed in that hour.

Aaron told them everything Jehovah had said to Moses. He also did the miraculous signs for the people.

Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh. They did as Jehovah commanded. Aaron threw his staff down in front of Pharaoh and his officials. It became a large snake.

Jehovah said: Throw it on the ground. When Moses threw it on the ground, it became a snake, and he ran away from it. Jehovah said to Moses: Reach down and pick it up by the tail. So Moses reached down and caught it. Suddenly it became a walking stick again.

Each of them threw his staff down. They all became large snakes. But Aaron's staff swallowed theirs.

The angel of Jehovah put to death a hundred and eighty-five thousand men in the Assyrian camp. The people got up the next morning and saw all the dead bodies!

It happened that night. Jehovah's angel killed one hundred and eighty five thousand soldiers in the Assyrian camp. The next morning the Judeans saw all the corpses.

When the people set out from their camp to cross the Jordan, and the priests bearing the Ark of the Covenant before the people and As they carried the ark into the Jordan and the feet of the priests dipped into the water, for Jordan is at food stage at the time of harvest. The waters stood and rose up upon a heap very far from the city Adam that is beside Zaretan. The waters that came down toward the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, failed, and were cut off. The priests carrying the Ark of the Covenant of Jehovah stood firm on dry ground in the middle of the Jordan River. All the Israelites passed over the Jordan River on dry ground.

Command the priests who carry the Ark of the Testimony that they come up from the Jordan. Joshua therefore commanded the priests, saying: Come up from the Jordan. When the priests that carried the Ark of the Covenant of Jehovah were up out of the middle of the Jordan, and the soles of the priests' feet were lifted up onto the dry land that the waters of Jordan returned to their place, and flowed over all its banks, as they did before.

Go now to Zarephath, in Zidon, and live there. I have given orders to a widow woman there to see that you have food. He went to Zarephath. When he came to the gate of the town, he saw a widow woman gathering sticks. He said to her: Will you give me a little water in a vessel for my drink? As she was going to get it, he said: And get me some bread. read more.
Then she said: By the life of Jehovah your God, I have nothing but a little meal, and a drop of oil in the bottle; and now I am getting two sticks together so that I may go in and make it ready for me and my son, so that we may have a meal before our death. Elijah said to her: Have no fear. Go and do as you said, but first make me a little cake of it and come and give it to me. Then make something for yourself and your son. For this is the word of Jehovah, the God of Israel: 'Your supply of meal will not come to an end. The bottle will never be without oil, till the day when Jehovah sends rain on the earth.' She did as Elijah told her and they all had food for a long time. The store of meal did not come to an end. The bottle was never without oil. This was just as Jehovah said through the mouth of Elijah.

Elijah was not sent to any of them. He was only sent to Zarephath in the land of Sidon. She was a widow.

The evil spirit shook the man hard, gave a loud scream, and came out of him.

Jesus rebuked him, saying: Be quiet and come out of him. When the demon had thrown him down in front of them, he came out of him without harming him.

This was the first miracle Jesus performed in Cana of Galilee. It gave evidence of his glory and his disciples believed in him.

When Jesus heard it he said: This sickness will not end in death. It is for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified by it.

Suddenly the power of Jehovah made Samson strong. He tore the lion apart with his bare hands, as if it were a young goat. But he did not tell his parents what he had done.

However Samson stayed in bed until midnight. He got up and took hold of the city gate and pulled it up, doors, posts, lock, and all. He put them on his shoulders and carried them far off to the top of the hill overlooking Hebron.

Then Samson took hold of the two middle columns holding up the building. He put one hand on each column. He pushed against them. Samson shouted: Let me die with the Philistines! He pushed with all his might, and the building fell down on the five kings and everyone else. Samson killed more people at his death than he had killed during his life.

Then she fell down at his feet and died. The young men came in, and found her dead. They carried her out to be buried by her husband.

Hearing these words Ananias fell down and died. Great fear came over all those who heard these things.

I will do things that shock and amaze them. I will destroy the wisdom of those who claim to know and understand (discern).

Remember the marvelous works that he has done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth.

Do not let anyone deceive you about this in any way. That day will not come unless apostasy (a falling away from truth) takes place first, and the man of lawlessness (sin), the man of destruction, is revealed. (2 Timothy 4:3)

The evil (lawless) one will come with the power of Satan and perform all kinds of false signs and wonders.

He performed great signs, so that he made fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men.

The manifestation (expression) of the Spirit is given to everyone for a beneficial purpose.

As much as you are zealous for spiritual gifts, strive to build-up (increase) the enlightenment (understanding) of the congregation. Let the one who speaks in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret what he says.

Truly I tell you, he who exerts active faith in me will do the works that I do. In fact he will do greater works than these. I go to the Father.

But Jesus said: Do not stop him, for there is no one who will do a mighty work in my name, and be able quickly to speak evil of me.

After the Ark of Jehovah had been in Philistia for seven months, the Philistines called in their priests and fortunetellers, and asked: What should we do with this Ark of Jehovah? Tell us how to send it back where it belongs! They answered: If you return the Ark of the Covenant of the God of Israel, you must send with it a gift (guilt offering) to him to pay for your sin. The Ark must not go back without a gift. In this way you will be healed. You will find out why he continues to punish you. read more.
What guilt offering (trespass gift) shall we send him? The people asked. They answered: Five gold models of tumors and five gold mice, one of each for each Philistine king. The same plague was sent on all of you and on the five kings. You must make these models of the tumors and of the mice that are ravaging your country. You must give honor to the God of Israel. Perhaps he will stop punishing you, your gods, and your land. Why are you as stubborn as the Egyptians and their Pharaoh were? When he did terrible (mighty) things among them did he let the Israelites go? Now get a new cart ready for two dairy cows that have never been yoked. Hitch the cows to the cart. Take their calves away and leave them in their stall. Take the Ark of Jehovah and put it on the cart. Put the gold objects that you are giving him as a guilt offering in a box beside the Ark. Send the cart on its way. Then watch where it goes. If it goes up the road to its own country toward Beth Shemesh, then this disaster is Jehovah's doing. But if not, we will know it was not his hand that struck us, but what happened to us was an accident. The men did this. They took two milk cows and tied them to the cart. They placed their calves in pens at home. They laid the Ark of Jehovah on the cart, and the box with the mice of gold and the images of their tumors. The cows went straight ahead to Bethshemesh. They went on the highway lowing as they went. They did not turn aside to the right or to the left. And the lords of the Philistines followed them to the border of Bethshemesh. The people of Bethshemesh were reaping their wheat harvest in the valley. They looked up and saw the ark. They rejoiced to see it. The cart came to the field of Joshua, a Bethshemite, and stood there. There was a great stone. They cut the wood of the cart and offered the cows as a burnt offering to Jehovah. The Levites removed the cart the Ark of Jehovah and the box that contained the gold objects. They put them on the large rock. The people of Bethshemesh presented burnt offerings and sacrifices to Jehovah that day. After the five rulers of the Philistines saw this, they went back to Ekron that same day. The Philistines sent the five gold tumors to Jehovah as a gift (guilt offering) to pay for their sins. They included one for each of the cities of Ashdod, Gaza, Ashkelon, Gath, and Ekron. They also sent gold mice, one for each of the cities ruled by the five Philistine kings, both the fortified towns and the villages without walls. The large rock in the field of Joshua of Bethshemesh, on which they placed the Ark of Jehovah's Covenant, is still there as a witness to what happened.

After they had moved it, Jehovah threw the city into a great panic. He struck all the people in the city and they were covered with tumors. So the people of Gath sent the Ark of God to Ekron. But when the Ark of God came to Ekron, the people of Ekron cried out: They brought the Ark of the God of Israel here to kill us. The people of Ekron called for another meeting of the Philistine rulers and told them: Send this chest back where it belongs. Then it will not kill us. The survivors suffered from the sores, so they all cried to their gods for help.

But the magicians used their secret powers to do the same thing.

But the Egyptian magicians did the same thing using their magic spells. So Pharaoh continued to be stubborn. He would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as Jehovah predicted.

Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh. They did as Jehovah commanded. Aaron threw his staff down in front of Pharaoh and his officials. It became a large snake. Then Pharaoh sent for his wise men and sorcerers. These Egyptian magicians did the same thing using their magic spells. Each of them threw his staff down. They all became large snakes. But Aaron's staff swallowed theirs.

The beast was captured, and with him the false prophet that performed signs before him, with which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast, and those who worshiped his image. These both were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with sulfur.

There will be false Christs and false prophets. They will show great signs and wonders so that many will be misled. This includes some of the chosen ones.

Do not neglect the spiritual gift in you. It was given to you by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the elders.

For this reason I remind you to kindle afresh the gift of God that is in you because of the laying on of my hands.

The evil (lawless) one will come with the power of Satan and perform all kinds of false signs and wonders.

They are demonic spirits, working signs, which go to the kings of the earth, of the whole world. They gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

Paul laid his hands on them and Holy Spirit came upon them. They spoke with tongues and prophesied.

So they laid their hands on them and they received the Holy Spirit. When Simon saw the Holy Spirit was given through the laying on of the apostles' hands, he offered them money.

Jehovah then said to Moses: Hold out your hand over the sea, and the water will flow back over the Egyptians and their chariots and drivers. Moses held out his hand over the sea. At daybreak the water returned to its normal level. The Egyptians tried to escape from the water. But Jehovah threw them into the sea. The water returned and covered the chariots, the drivers, and all the Egyptian army that had followed the Israelites into the sea. None of them were left.

Zealously seek (earnestly desire) the best gifts. Yet I show you a more excellent way.

Pursue love, yet zealously desire spiritual gifts, especially prophesy (proclaiming God's Word).

God has appointed some in the congregation: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helpers, abilities to direct, different tongues.

For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the one Spirit; To another the workings of miracles and to another prophesy. To another discerning of spirits; to another different kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues.

As he journeyed to Damascus, suddenly a light from heaven shined around him. He fell to the earth and heard a voice saying: Saul, Saul! Why do you persecute me? Who are you Lord? He asked. The Lord said: I am Jesus whom you persecute. read more.
Get up and go into the city, and it will be told to you what you must do.

Ananias went his way. He entered the house and put his hands on him and said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared to you along the road sent me, that you might receive your sight, and be filled with the Holy Spirit. Immediately something like scales fell from his eyes and he received sight. He got up and was baptized.

However, Jehovah prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

Jehovah spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah out upon the dry land.

Samuel prayed. That same day Jehovah sent thunder and rain. Then all the people became afraid of Jehovah and of Samuel.

While in prison, John heard news of what Christ was doing. He sent his disciples. They asked Jesus: Are you the Expected One or should we look for another?

Moses raised his hand and hit the rock twice with the staff. Water came pouring out! All the people and their animals drank.

and the earth opened up to swallow them, their families, the followers of Korah, and all their property.

Zechariah asked: How might I be certain of this for my wife and I are old?

His wife Elisabeth became pregnant. She remained in seclusion for five months. She said: This is the way God has dealt with me by taking away my reproach among men. (1 Samuel 1:11)

Isaiah prayed to Jehovah and Jehovah made the shadow go back ten steps on the stairway set up by King Ahaz.

Then the fire of Jehovah came down. It burned up the offering and the wood and the stones and the dust, and drinking up the water in the drain.

For this is the word of Jehovah, the God of Israel: 'Your supply of meal will not come to an end. The bottle will never be without oil, till the day when Jehovah sends rain on the earth.'

Jehovah listened to the voice of Elijah. The child began to breath and came back to life.

While they were burying a dead man they saw a band coming. They put the man quickly into the place where Elisha's body was. The dead man's body touched Elisha's bones. The man came to life again and got up on his feet.

He saw a fig tree along the side of the road. He went to it and saw nothing on it but leaves. He told it: You will not bare fruit from this time forward, forever. Immediately the fig tree became dry and dead.

They arrived at Capernaum. The collectors of the two-drachma tax asked Peter: Does your master make payment of the Temple tax?

Joshua spoke to Jehovah the day when Jehovah delivered the Amorites to the children of Israel. He said in sight of Israel: Sun, stand still upon Gibeon; and Moon, stand still in the valley of Ajalon.

At midnight Jehovah killed every firstborn male in Egypt from the firstborn son of Pharaoh who ruled the land to the firstborn son of the prisoner in jail, and also every firstborn animal.

The next day Moses went into the tent. He found that Aaron's staff for the tribe of Levi had not only begun to grow, but it had also blossomed and produced ripe almonds.

Moses stretched out his hand over the sea. Jehovah swept the sea back by a strong east wind all night and turned the sea into dry land. The waters were divided.

As long as Moses held up his hands, Israel would win, but as soon as he put his hands down, the Amalekites would start to win.

Jehovah spoke to Moses again: Put your hand inside your robe. Moses obeyed. When he took his hand out, it was diseased, covered with white spots, like snow. Jehovah said: Put your hand inside your robe again. He did so, and when he took it out this time, it was healthy, just like the rest of his body.

Moses cried out to Jehovah. Jehovah showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became sweet. Jehovah presented laws and rules for them to live by. He tested them there.

Jehovah said to Moses: Make a snake and put it on a pole. Anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.

Moses raised his hand toward the sky. Total darkness fell throughout Egypt for three days.

Samson shouted: Let me die with the Philistines! He pushed with all his might, and the building fell down on the five kings and everyone else. Samson killed more people at his death than he had killed during his life.

Suddenly the power of Jehovah made him strong. He went to Ashkelon, where he killed thirty men. He stripped them and gave their fine clothes to the men who had solved the riddle. He returned home, furious about what had happened.

King Jeroboam said to the prophet: Please pray to Jehovah your God for me, and ask him to heal my arm! The prophet prayed to Jehovah and the king's arm was healed.

The altar suddenly fell apart and the ashes spilled to the ground. This is what the prophet predicted in the name of Jehovah.

King Jeroboam heard this. He pointed his outstretched hand at him and ordered: Seize that man! At once the king's arm became paralyzed so that he could not pull it back.

He called his twelve disciples. He gave them power to cast out unclean spirits and to heal all kinds of disease and sickness.

Then Elijah said to Ahab: Get up and take food and drink, for there is a sound of much rain. So Ahab went up to have food and drink. Elijah went up to the top of Carmel. He bowed down to the earth and put his face between his knees. He told his servant to look in the direction of the sea. After he looked the servant said: There is nothing. Elijah said: Go again seven times. So he went seven times. read more.
The seventh time he said: I see a cloud coming up out of the sea, as small as a man's hand. Then Elijah said: Go up and say to Ahab, Get your carriage ready and go down or the rain will keep you back. After a very little time, the heaven became black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. Ahab went in his carriage to Jezreel.

Joshua spoke to Jehovah the day when Jehovah delivered the Amorites to the children of Israel. He said in sight of Israel: Sun, stand still upon Gibeon; and Moon, stand still in the valley of Ajalon. The sun stood still, and the moon stood still, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is this not written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and did not go down for a whole day. There was no day like that before or after it, that Jehovah listened to the voice of a man: for Jehovah fought for Israel.

Therefore Jehovah sent an epidemic on the people of Israel, and seventy thousand of them died. Then God sent an angel to destroy Jerusalem. Then he changed his mind. He said to the angel: Stop! That is enough! The angel was standing at the threshing place of Araunah, a Jebusite. David saw the angel standing in midair, holding his sword in his hand, ready to destroy Jerusalem. Then David and the leaders of the people, all of whom were wearing sackcloth bowed low, with their faces touching the ground. read more.
