The one who rejects me and does not accept my words has a judge; the word I have spoken will judge him at the last day.
Therefore we must pay closer attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. What will you do on judgment day, when destruction arrives from a distant place? To whom will you run for help? Where will you leave your wealth?

For his eyes are on the ways of an individual, he observes all a person's steps. There is no darkness, and no deep darkness, where evildoers can hide themselves.
And do you think, whoever you are, when you judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself, that you will escape God's judgment?

Even if they were to hide on the top of Mount Carmel, I would hunt them down and take them from there. Someone who rejected the law of Moses was put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much greater punishment do you think that person deserves who has contempt for the Son of God, and profanes the blood of the covenant that made him holy, and insults the Spirit of grace?
