Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world may be held accountable to God.
So then, just as sin entered the world through one man and death through sin, and so death spread to all people because all sinned --
The Lord is both kind and fair; that is why he teaches sinners the right way to live. May he show the humble what is right! May he teach the humble his way! The Lord always proves faithful and reliable to those who follow the demands of his covenant.
Respond to the request of your servant and your people Israel for this place. Hear from inside your heavenly dwelling place and respond favorably.

He had no desire to bless anyone, so he has experienced no blessings. He made cursing a way of life, so curses poured into his stomach like water and seeped into his bones like oil. May a curse attach itself to him, like a garment one puts on, or a belt one wears continually! May the Lord repay my accusers in this way, those who say evil things about me!
Remember, O Lord, what the Edomites did on the day Jerusalem fell. They said, "Tear it down, tear it down, right to its very foundation!" O daughter Babylon, soon to be devastated! How blessed will be the one who repays you for what you dished out to us! How blessed will be the one who grabs your babies and smashes them on a rock!
But your sinful acts have alienated you from your God; your sins have caused him to reject you and not listen to your prayers.
If I had harbored sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.
When you spread out your hands in prayer, I look the other way; when you offer your many prayers, I do not listen, because your hands are covered with blood.
We know that God doesn't listen to sinners, but if anyone is devout and does his will, God listens to him.
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! The sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, passive homosexual partners, practicing homosexuals, thieves, the greedy, drunkards, the verbally abusive, and swindlers will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Calamity pursues sinners, but prosperity rewards the righteous. A benevolent person leaves an inheritance for his grandchildren, but the wealth of a sinner is stored up for the righteous.
For this reason the wicked cannot withstand judgment, nor can sinners join the assembly of the godly.
All rebellious sinners will be shattered, those who abandon the Lord will perish.
Look, the Lord's day of judgment is coming; it is a day of cruelty and savage, raging anger, destroying the earth and annihilating its sinners.
Sinners are afraid in Zion; panic grips the godless. They say, 'Who among us can coexist with destructive fire? Who among us can coexist with unquenchable fire?'
"The way you have lived and the things you have done will bring this on you. This is the punishment you deserve, and it will be painful indeed. The pain will be so bad it will pierce your heart."
