and before the lamp of God was put out, Samuel was sleeping in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God was;

that the king said unto Nathan, the prophet, See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of God dwells within curtains.

And thou shalt hang up the veil under the hooks, and thou shalt bring in there, inside the veil, the ark of the testimony; and that veil shall separate for you between the holy place and the holy of holies.

and he brought the ark into the tabernacle and set up the veil of the curtain and covered the ark of the testimony, as the LORD commanded Moses.

For there was a tabernacle made: the first, in which was the lampstand and the table and the showbread, which is called the sanctuary. And after the second veil was the tabernacle which is called the Holy of Holies, which had a golden censer and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, in which was the golden urn that had the manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the testament,

And upon the table of showbread they shall spread a cloth of blue and put thereon the dishes and the spoons and the bowls and covers to cover withal; and the continual bread shall be thereon.

And thou shalt set the showbread upon the table before me always.

And thou shalt take fine flour and bake twelve cakes thereof; each cake shall be of two-tenth deals.

So the priest gave him the sacred bread, for there was no bread there but the showbread that had been taken from before the LORD to put hot bread in the day when it was taken away.

And other of their brethren, of the sons of the Kohathites, were over the showbread, to order it every sabbath.

for the showbread and for the continual present and for the continual burnt offering, and of the sabbaths and of the new moons, for the appointed feasts and for the holy things and for the atonement for sin to reconcile Israel and for all the work of the house of our God.

how he entered into the house of God and ate the showbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for those who were with him, but only for the priests?

For there was a tabernacle made: the first, in which was the lampstand and the table and the showbread, which is called the sanctuary.

For there was a tabernacle made: the first, in which was the lampstand and the table and the showbread, which is called the sanctuary.

and said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked and behold a lampstand all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and its seven lamps upon the lampstand, and seven pipes for the lamps, which are upon the top thereof:

For there was a tabernacle made: the first, in which was the lampstand and the table and the showbread, which is called the sanctuary.

And thou shalt set the table outside the veil, the candlestick over against the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the Negev (south desert), and thou shalt put the table on the side of the Aquilon (north wind).

And he put the lampstand in the tabernacle of the testimony, over against the table, on the side of the Negev of the tabernacle. And he lighted the lamps before the LORD, as the LORD had commanded Moses.

LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in the mountain of thy holiness?

For there was a tabernacle made: the first, in which was the lampstand and the table and the showbread, which is called the sanctuary.

Moreover thou shalt make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twined linen and blue and purple and scarlet; with cherubim of cunning work shalt thou make them.

But Christ being now come, high priest of the good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation,

And I will set my dwelling among you, and my soul shall not abhor you.

If the land of your possession seems unto you to be unclean, then pass ye over unto the land of the possession of the LORD, in which the LORD's tabernacle dwells and take possession among us; but do not rebel against the LORD, nor rebel against us, in building yourselves an altar in addition to the altar of the LORD our God.

I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever; I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.

In Salem also is his tabernacle and his dwelling place in Zion.

a minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

(who serve as an example and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern showed unto thee in the mount);

And it opened its mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name and his tabernacle and those that dwell in heaven.

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold the tabernacle of God with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them and be their God.

For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place should have been sought for the second. For finding fault with them, he said, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new testament with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, not according to the testament that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, because they did not continue in my testament, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. read more.
For this is the testament that I will ordain to the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord: I will give my laws into their soul and write them upon their hearts, and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: and no one shall teach his neighbour nor anyone his brother, saying, Know the Lord, for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will reconcile their iniquities and their sins, and their iniquities I will remember no more. In that he says, New, he has made the first old. Now that which decays and waxes old is ready to vanish away.

Nevertheless the first had its justifications of worship and its worldly sanctuary. For there was a tabernacle made: the first, in which was the lampstand and the table and the showbread, which is called the sanctuary. which had a golden censer and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, in which was the golden urn that had the manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the testament, and over it the cherubim of glory shadowing the seat of reconciliation, of which we cannot now speak particularly. Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God. But into the second the high priest went alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for his own ignorance, and for that of the people: The Holy Spirit signifying in this, that the way into the sanctuary was not yet made manifest, as long as the first tabernacle was yet standing: Which was a figure of that time present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience, but in foods and drinks and different washings and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of correction. But Christ being now come, high priest of the good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation, neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the sanctuary designed for eternal redemption. For if the blood of bulls and of goats and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctified to the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of the Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from the works of death to serve the living God? And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, so that death intervening for the redemption of the rebellions that took place under the first testament, those who are called might receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never make perfect those who come by the same sacrifices which they offer year by year continually. Otherwise, they would cease to offer them, because those that sacrifice, once purged, would have no more conscience of sin. But in these sacrifices each year the same remembrance of sins is made. read more.
For the blood of bulls and of goats cannot take away sins. Therefore when he came into the world, he said, Sacrifice and offering thou dost not desire, but a body hast thou prepared me; in burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. Then said I, Behold, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me) to do thy will, O God. Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou dost not desire, neither hadst pleasure therein, which are offered by the law; then he said, Behold, I come to do thy will, O God. He took away the first, that he may establish the second. In this will, we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus, the Christ, once for all. And so every priest stands daily ministering and offering many times the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins, but this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, is seated at the right hand of God,

Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the sanctuary by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which he has consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

And thou shalt set the showbread upon the table before me always.

Behold, I must build a house unto the name of the LORD my God, to dedicate it to him and to burn aromatic incense before him and for the continual showbread and for the burnt offerings morning and evening on the sabbaths and on the new moons and on the solemn feasts of the LORD our God, which is to be perpetual in Israel.

and they burn unto the LORD every morning and every evening burnt sacrifices and aromatic incense, and they place the showbread upon the clean table, and the lampstand of gold with its lamps, to burn every evening; for we keep the charge of the LORD our God, but ye have forsaken him.

And thou shalt take fine flour and bake twelve cakes thereof; each cake shall be of two-tenth deals. And thou shalt set them in two orders, six in each order, upon the clean table before the LORD. And thou shalt put pure frankincense upon each order, that it may be on the bread for an aroma and incense unto the LORD. read more.
Every sabbath he shall set it in order before the LORD continually: an everlasting covenant of the sons of Israel. And it shall belong to Aaron and his sons, and they shall eat it in the holy place, for it is most holy unto him of the offerings of the LORD on fire, by a perpetual statute.

So that it was necessary that the figures of the heavenly things should be purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ is not entered into the sanctuary made with hands (which is a figure of the true), but into the heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us,
