There is one body and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all, and in you all.

And now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, those whom thou hast given me, keep them in thy name, that they may be one, as we are.

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, into which likewise ye are called into one body, and be ye thankful.

For one loaf of bread means that many are one body, for we are all partakers of that one loaf.

loving you so much, that we were willing to give unto you, not only the gospel of God, but even our own souls, because ye are dear unto us.

We know that we are passed from death unto life, in that we love the brethren. He that does not love his brother abides in death.

Having purified your souls in the obedience of the truth, by the Spirit, in unfeigned brotherly love, love one another with a pure heart fervently,

Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.

since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the charity which ye have toward all the saints,

Those that trust in the LORD are as Mount Zion, which cannot be removed but abides for ever.

When thou dost pass through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee; when thou dost walk through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, nor for the arrow that flies by day,

So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

But, as for you, desire not to be called Rabbi, for one is your Master, the Christ; and you are all brothers.

The voice of the LORD shall make the hinds to calve and shall uncover the forests: and in his temple every one speaks to his glory.

One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life to behold the beauty of the LORD and to enquire in his temple.

and before the lamp of God was put out, Samuel was sleeping in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God was;

Two men went up into the temple to pray, the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.

In the year that king Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.

How shall we sing the song of the LORD in the land of strangers? If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, my right hand shall be forgotten. If I do not remember thee, my tongue shall cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I do not prefer to lift up Jerusalem as my chief joy.

For thy slaves love her stones and have compassion on the dust thereof.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; those that love thee shall be brought into rest.

Because of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek thy good.

The LORD shall bless thee out of Zion, and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life. Yea, thou shalt see thy children's children and peace upon Israel.

Moreover, because I have my delight in the house of my God, I have in my own treasury, gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the house of the sanctuary:

And Moses took the anointing oil and anointed the tabernacle and all the things that were therein and sanctified them. And he sprinkled thereof upon the altar seven times and anointed the altar and all its vessels, and the laver and its base, to sanctify them.

And it came to pass on the day that Moses had fully set up the tabernacle and had anointed it and sanctified it with all its vessels; likewise having anointed and sanctified the altar, with all its vessels;

And thou shalt take the anointing oil and anoint the tabernacle and all that is in it and shalt sanctify it with all its vessels, and it shall be holy.

Ye shall keep my sabbaths and reverence my sanctuary. I am the LORD.

that ye may be blameless and innocent, children of God without rebuke in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world,

For in another time ye were darkness, but now ye are light in the Lord: walk as children of light;

Ye are the light of the world. A city set upon a mountain cannot be hid.

For Zion's sake I will not hold my peace; and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest until her righteousness goes forth as brightness and her saving health is lit as a flaming torch.

So let all thine enemies perish, O LORD, but let those that love thee be as the sun when he rises in all his might. And the land had rest forty years.

O LORD my God, in thee I have put my trust: save me from all those that persecute me, and deliver me

My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of my enemies and from those that persecute me.

And Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and extending his hands toward heaven, he said, LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee, in the heavens above or on earth beneath, who keeps the covenant and mercy with thy slaves that walk before thee with all their heart, who hast kept unto thy slave David, my father, what thou didst declare unto him; thou didst say it with thy mouth and hast fulfilled it with thy hand, as we see this day. read more.

When thy people Israel are smitten down before the enemy because they have sinned against thee and shall turn again to thee and confess thy name and pray and make supplication with humility unto thee in this house, then thou shalt hear in the heavens and forgive the sin of thy people Israel and bring them again unto the land which thou didst give unto their fathers. When heaven is shut up and there is no rain because they have sinned against thee, if they pray in this place and confess thy name and turn from their sin when thou hast afflicted them, then thou shalt hear in the heavens and forgive the sin of thy slaves and of thy people Israel, teaching them the good way in which they should walk and shalt give rain upon thy land, which thou hast given to thy people for an inheritance. When there is famine in the land or pestilence or blasting or mildew or locusts or caterpillars, if their enemy besieges them in the land of their gates, whatever plague, whatever sickness there is, every prayer and every supplication made by any man or by all thy people Israel, when anyone knows the plague of his own heart and spreads forth his hands toward this house, then thou shalt hear in the heavens, in the habitation of thy dwelling place, and forgive and do and give to each one according to his ways, whose heart thou knowest (for thou, even thou only, knowest the hearts of all the sons of men), that they may fear thee all the days that they live in the land which thou didst give unto our fathers. Likewise concerning a stranger, that is not of thy people Israel, but comes out of a far country for thy name's sake (for they shall have heard of thy great name and of thy strong hand and of thy stretched out arm), when he shall come to pray in this house, thou shalt hear in the heavens, in the habitation of thy dwelling place, and do according to all that for which the stranger shall have called unto thee, that all peoples of the earth may know thy name and fear thee as do thy people Israel and that they may know that thy name is invoked upon this house, which I have built. If thy people go out to battle against their enemies by the way which thou shalt send them and shall pray unto the LORD toward the city which thou hast chosen and toward the house that I have built for thy name, thou shalt hear in the heavens their prayer and their supplication and do their judgment. If they have sinned against thee (for there is no man that does not sin) and thou should be angry with them and deliver them to the enemy so that they carry them away captives unto the land of the enemy, far or near, and they return unto their heart in the land where they were carried captives and return and make supplication unto thee in the land of those that carried them captives, saying, We have sinned and have done iniquity, we have committed wickedness; and so convert themselves unto thee with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their enemies, who led them away captive and pray unto thee toward their land, which thou didst give unto their fathers, toward the city which thou hast chosen and the house which I have built for thy name, thou shalt hear in the heavens, in the habitation of thy dwelling place, their prayer and their supplication and do what is right unto them and forgive thy people that have sinned against thee and all their rebellions by which they have rebelled against thee and cause those who carried them captive to have mercy on them, for they are thy people and thy inheritance, which thou didst bring forth out of Egypt, from the midst of the iron furnace. And it was so, that when Solomon had made an end of praying all this prayer and supplication unto the LORD he arose from before the altar of the LORD, from kneeling on his knees with his hands extended toward heaven. And he stood and blessed all the congregation of Israel with a loud voice, saying, Blessed be the LORD that has given rest unto his people Israel according to all that he had said; not one word has failed of all his good word, which he spoke by the hand of Moses, his slave. The LORD our God be with us as he was with our fathers; let him not leave us nor forsake us that he may incline our hearts unto him, to walk in all his ways and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his rights, which he commanded our fathers. And let these my words, with which I have made supplication before the LORD, be near unto the LORD our God day and night that he maintain the judgment of his slave and the cause of his people Israel at all times, as the matter shall require; that all the peoples of the earth may know that the LORD is God, and that there is no other. Let your heart, therefore, be perfect with the LORD our God, walking in his statutes and keeping his commandments, as at this day.

And it came to pass that as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray as John also taught his disciples. And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father who art in the heavens, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so also in the earth. If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those that ask him?

And he promised and sought opportunity to betray him unto them in the absence of the multitude.

The people shall become like the priest; and I will visit his ways upon him, and they shall reward him according to his doings.

And I said, Hear, I pray you, O princes of Jacob, and ye heads of the house of Israel. Did it not pertain to you to know that which is right? Who hate the good, and love the evil, who steal their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones; and eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them; and they break their bones and chop them in pieces as for the pot and as flesh within the caldron. read more.
Then they shall cry unto the LORD, but he will not respond to them: he will even hide his face from them at that time because of their evil doings.

Whoever compounds any like it and puts any of it upon a stranger shall be cut off from his people.

They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.

Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses, for whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.

And the person that eats of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace, which is of the LORD, being unclean, that person shall be cut off from his people.

and does not bring it unto the door of the tabernacle of the testimony to offer it unto the LORD, even that man shall be cut off from among his people.

and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, fed and united by its joints and bonds, grows in the increase of God.

for the perfecting of the saints in the work of the ministry, unto the edifying of the body of the Christ

likewise many of us are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer; behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days; be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee the crown of life.

Then they shall deliver you up to be afflicted and shall kill you, and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

But keep yourselves from men, for they will deliver you up in councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;

But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and into prisons, being brought before kings and governors for my name's sake.

Remember the word that I said unto you, The slave is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my word, they will keep yours also.

For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying and strife and divisions, are ye not carnal and walk as men?

But brother goes to judgment against brother, and that before the unbelievers.

I beseech Euodias and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord.

But as God has distributed to each one, as the Lord has called each one, so let them walk. And so I ordain in all the congregations .

And if anyone is hungry, let him eat at home; that ye not come together unto judgment. And I will set the rest in order when I come.

If, therefore, the whole congregation is come together into one place and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?

But let all things be done decently and in order.

For this cause I left thee in Crete, that thou should correct that which is lacking and set in place elders in every city, as I had commanded thee:

And the apostles and elders came together to consider of this matter.

For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things:

(for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the congregation of God?)

I will greatly rejoice in the LORD; my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of saving health; he has surrounded me with the robe of righteousness; as a bridegroom he has arrayed me, and as a bride made up of his jewels.

I put on righteousness, and it clothed me as a robe; and my diadem was judgment.

I will also clothe her priests with saving health, and her merciful ones shall shout aloud for joy.

Awake, awake; put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for from now on the uncircumcised and the unclean shall no longer come into thee.

And the angel answered and spoke unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I have caused thee to be clothed with new raiment.

But the hireling, who is not a shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches them and scatters the sheep.

And when he saw the multitude, he was moved with compassion on them because they fainted and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

Then Jesus said unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night; for it is written, I will smite the Shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.

Therefore thus hath the LORD God of Israel said unto the pastors that feed my people: Ye have scattered my flock and driven them away and have not visited them; behold, I visit upon you the evil of your doings, said the LORD.

As the shepherd recognizes his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered, so will I recognize my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.

A man that is a heretic, after the first and second admonition, reject him,

Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have delivered unto Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme.

Now I, Paul, myself beseech you by the meekness and clemency of the Christ (who in presence am low among you, but being absent am bold toward you)

let such a one be delivered unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

I told you before and foretell you, as if I were present, the second time; and being absent now, I write to those who until now have sinned and to all others that, if I come again, I will not spare,

And I, John, saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of the heaven, prepared of God as a bride adorned for her husband.

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that hears say, Come. And let him that is thirsty come; and whosoever will, let him take of the water of life freely.

For I am jealous over you with the jealousy of God, for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to the Christ.

For as a young man marries a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee; and as the bridegroom rejoices with the bride, so shall thy God rejoice with thee.

Let us be glad and rejoice and give glory to him; for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his bride has made herself ready.

LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in the mountain of thy holiness?

For there was a tabernacle made: the first, in which was the lampstand and the table and the showbread, which is called the sanctuary.

Moreover thou shalt make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twined linen and blue and purple and scarlet; with cherubim of cunning work shalt thou make them.

But Christ being now come, high priest of the good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation,

And I will set my dwelling among you, and my soul shall not abhor you.

And he is the head of the body, the congregation , who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he might have the preeminence.

And has put all things under his feet and gave him to be the head over all things to the congregation ,

but following the truth in charity, let us grow up into him in all things, who is the head, the Christ:

For the husband is the head of the wife even as the Christ is head of the congregation , and it is he who gives saving health to the body.

and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, fed and united by its joints and bonds, grows in the increase of God.

Know ye not that all of us that are baptized into Jesus the Christ are baptized into his death?

For by one Spirit we are all baptized into one body, whether we are Jews or Greeks, whether we are slaves or free, and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

buried together with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who has raised him from the dead.

Unto the figure of which the baptism that does now correspond saves us (not taking away the uncleanness of the flesh, but giving testimony of a good conscience before God) by the resurrection of Jesus, the Christ,

Blessed is the man whom thou dost choose and cause to approach unto thee that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house even of thy holy temple.

When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the LORD, and my prayer entered in unto thee in thy holy temple.

in whom all the building fitly framed together grows unto a holy temple in the Lord,

But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear I will worship toward thy holy temple.

The LORD is in the temple of his holiness, the LORD's throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try the children of men.

For there shall be a day in which the watchmen upon the Mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise, and let us go up into Zion unto the LORD our God.

By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.

Sing unto the LORD, he who dwells in Zion; declare among the people his doings.

Let Mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad because of thy judgments.

Remember thy congregation, which thou hast purchased of old; the rod of thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed, this Mount Zion, in which thou hast dwelt.

Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the congregation ; and let them pray for him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord;

Let the elders that govern well be counted worthy of double honour, especially those who labour in the word and doctrine.

which they likewise did and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.

The elders who are among you I exhort (I am also an elder with them and a witness of the afflictions of the Christ, and also a participant of the glory that shall be revealed).

Those that are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.

My soul longs, and even faints for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh sing to the living God.

for a day in thy courts is better than a thousand outside of them. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; bring offerings, and come into his courts.

praising God and having grace with all the people. And the Lord added to the congregation daily such as should be saved.

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, a small rock and upon the large rock I will build my congregation , and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against her.

And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the congregation ; but if he neglects to hear the congregation, let him be unto thee as a worldly man and a publican.

For first of all, when ye come together in the congregation , I hear that there are divisions among you; and I partly believe it.

And as they were eating, Jesus took the bread, and, having blessed it, broke it and gave it to the disciples and said, Take, eat; this is my body.

The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the fellowship of the blood of the Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the fellowship of the body of the Christ?

Listen to your pastors, and do not resist them, for they watch for your souls as those that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief; for that is unprofitable for you.

Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness and esteem such

And we beseech you, brethren, to recognize those who labour among you and preside over you in the Lord and admonish you and that you express greater charity unto them for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.

Let the elders that govern well be counted worthy of double honour, especially those who labour in the word and doctrine.

Remember your pastors, who have spoken unto you the word of God, whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation:

unto those whose sins ye release, they shall be released; and unto those whose sins ye retain, they shall be retained.

And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of the heavens, and whatever thou shalt bind on the earth shall be bound in the heavens, and whatever thou shalt loose on the earth shall be loosed in the heaven.

Verily I say unto you, Whatever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in the heaven; and whatever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in the heaven.

And as they went through the cities, they asked them to keep the decrees that had been determined by the apostles and elders who were at Jerusalem.

Listen to your pastors, and do not resist them, for they watch for your souls as those that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief; for that is unprofitable for you.

and are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone,

Paul, and Silvanus, and Timothy, unto the congregation of the Thessalonians congregated in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

But if I tarry long, that thou may know how it is expedient to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the congregation of the living God, the pillar and base of the truth.

And Herod with his court despised him and mocked him and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe and sent him again to Pilate.

And for this reason the Jews persecuted Jesus and sought to kill him: because he had done these things on a sabbath.

I know that ye are Abraham's seed, but ye seek to kill me because my word has no place in you.

According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another builds upon it. But let each one see how the building is built.

ye also, as living stones, are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, well pleasing to God by Jesus, the Christ.

But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day and sat down.

And when he was departed from there, he went into their synagogue;

And they entered into Capernaum, and straightway on the sabbath days he entered into the synagogue and taught.

And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up; and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day and stood up to read.

not forsaking our gathering together, as the manner of some is, but exhorting one another and so much the more, when ye see that day approaching.
