This then is the promise which we have heard of him and declare unto you, That God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

How then can man be justified with God? Or how can he that is born of a woman be clean? Behold, even the moon shall not shine, neither are the stars pure in his sight. How much less man, who is as a worm, and the son of man, who is also a worm?

Woe unto those that call evil good and good evil; that put darkness for light and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have communion with him in the midst of us, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son cleanses us from all sin.
