And while he yet spoke, behold, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the princes of the priests and elders of the people. Now he that betrayed him had given them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he; hold him fast. And forthwith he came to Jesus and said, Receive joy, master; and kissed him. And Jesus said unto him, Friend, why art thou come? Then they came and laid hands on Jesus and took him.

And while he yet spoke, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him. But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss? When those who were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?
When Jesus had spoken these things, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Cedron, where there was a garden, into which he entered, and his disciples. And Judas also, who betrayed him, knew the place: for Jesus gathered there often with his disciples.

And he spoke a parable unto them to this end, that it behooves us always to pray and not faint,
