Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
And when they bring you unto the synagogues and unto magistrates and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer or what ye shall say;
But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak, for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat or what ye shall drink, nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than food, and the body than raiment?
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, With what shall we be clothed?
Take therefore no thought for the morrow, for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the affliction thereof.
Settle it therefore in your hearts not to meditate before what ye shall answer;
And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with excess and drunkenness and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
Be anxious for nothing, but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God.
In the multitude of my thoughts within me, thy comforts delight my soul.
If ye then are not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?
And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things;
and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches and the lusts of other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they toil not, neither do they spin;
casting all your cares upon him, for he cares for you.
Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart and put away evil from thy flesh; for childhood and youth are vanity.
Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee; he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
Beside those things that are without, my daily combat is the welfare of all the congregations .
but he that is married cares for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.
But I would have you without worry. He that is unmarried cares for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord;
For the Gentiles seek after all these things.) For your heavenly Father knows that ye have need of all these things.
Neither shalt thou swear by thy head because thou canst not make one hair white or black.
Heaviness in the heart of man makes it stoop: but a good word makes it glad.
For all these things do the Gentiles of the world seek after, and your Father knows that ye have need of these things.
And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.
But when they shall bring you to deliver you up, do not premeditate beforehand what ye shall speak, neither think ye regarding it, but whatever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye, for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Spirit.
But Martha was cumbered about in much serving and came to him and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Bid her therefore that she help me.
Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in me.
Therefore, if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
And why dost thou behold the mote that is in thy brother's eye but dost not consider the beam that is in thine own eye?
Do not meddle with those who are evil, neither be envious of the wicked;
Behold the fowls of the air, for they sow not, neither do they reap nor gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are ye not much better than they?
For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, that spreads out her roots by the river and shall not see when heat comes, but her leaf shall be green and shall not be fatigued in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.
Aleph Do not be angry with the evildoers, neither be thou envious of the workers of iniquity.
The sleep of the servant is sweet whether he eats little or much, but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.
