Receive him therefore in the Lord with all joy, and hold such in honour;
But we beg you, brethren, to know those who labour among you, and take the lead among you in the Lord, and admonish you, and to regard them exceedingly in love on account of their work. Be in peace among yourselves.
Let the elders who take the lead among the saints well be esteemed worthy of double honour, specially those labouring in word and teaching;
Remember your leaders who have spoken to you the word of God; and considering the issue of their conversation, imitate their faith.

Now if Timotheus come, see that he may be with you without fear; for he works the work of the Lord, even as I. Let not therefore any one despise him; but set him forward in peace, that he may come to me; for I expect him with the brethren.

And know also ye, O Philippians, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I came out of Macedonia, no assembly communicated anything to me in the way of giving and receiving save ye alone; for also in Thessalonica once and even twice ye sent to me for my need. Not that I seek gift, but I seek fruit abounding to your account. But I have all things in full supply and abound; I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things sent from you, an odour of sweet savour, an acceptable sacrifice, agreeable to God.
