And the king commanded Hilkijah the priest, and Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Achbor the son of Micaiah, and Shaphan the scribe, and Asaiah a servant of the king, saying, Go, inquire of Jehovah for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book which is found; for great is the wrath of Jehovah that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not hearkened to the words of this book, to do according to all that is written there for us.

Think not that I am come to make void the law or the prophets; I am not come to make void, but to fulfil.

And having begun from Moses and from all the prophets, he interpreted to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

They said therefore to one another, Let us not rend it, but let us cast lots for it, whose it shall be; that the scripture might be fulfilled which says, They parted my garments among themselves, and on my vesture they cast lots. The soldiers therefore did these things.

Ye shall not add to the word which I command you, neither shall ye take from it, that ye may keep the commandments of Jehovah your God which I command you.

Everything that I command you, ye shall take heed to do it; thou shalt not add thereto, nor take from it.

I testify to every one who hears the words of the prophecy of this book, If any one shall add to these things, God shall add to him the plagues which are written in this book. Thus with might the word of the Lord increased and prevailed.

as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,

Wherefore, laying aside all filthiness and abounding of wickedness, accept with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word and not hearers only, beguiling yourselves. For if any man be a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like to a man considering his natural face in a mirror:

And for this cause we also give thanks to God unceasingly that, having received the word of the report of God by us, ye accepted, not men's word, but, even as it is truly, God's word, which also works in you who believe.

And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, and none of them was cleansed but Naaman the Syrian.

Strive diligently to present thyself approved to God, a workman that has not to be ashamed, cutting in a straight line the word of truth.

According to his own will begat he us by the word of truth, that we should be a certain first-fruits of his creatures.

For the word of God is living and operative, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and penetrating to the division of soul and spirit, both of joints and marrow, and a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they who hear the word of God and keep it.

He that rejects me and does not receive my words, has him who judges him: the word which I have spoken, that shall judge him in the last day.

in the day when God shall judge the secrets of men, according to my glad tidings, by Jesus Christ.

And if any one take from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the tree of life, and out of the holy city, which are written in this book.

Then said I, Behold, I come, in the volume of the book it is written of me --

that this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of Jehovah;

But his delight is in Jehovah's law, and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

and that from a child thou hast known the sacred letters, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation, through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

(which he had before promised by his prophets in holy writings,)

Much every way: and first, indeed, that to them were entrusted the oracles of God.

If any one speak as oracles of God; if any one minister as of strength which God supplies; that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom is the glory and the might for the ages of ages. Amen.

For as many as are on the principle of works of law are under curse. For it is written, Cursed is every one who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them;

And he read in it before the open place that was before the water-gate from the morning until midday, in presence of the men and the women, and those that could understand. And the ears of all the people were attentive to the book of the law.

Let the word of the Christ dwell in you richly, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another, in psalms, hymns, spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to God.

Have also the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is God's word;

Is not my word like a fire, saith Jehovah; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

Ye search the scriptures, for ye think that in them ye have life eternal, and they it is which bear witness concerning me;

They answered and said to him, Art thou also of Galilee? Search and look, that no prophet arises out of Galilee.

Have also the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is God's word;

Whoso despiseth the word shall be held by it; but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.

Therefore thus saith Jehovah, the God of hosts: Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.

But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. read more.
If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

and write them upon the posts of thy house, and upon thy gates;

These things Jesus spoke, and lifted up his eyes to heaven and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son may glorify thee; as thou hast given him authority over all flesh, that as to all that thou hast given to him, he should give them life eternal. So faith then is by a report, but the report by God's word.

For I am not ashamed of the glad tidings; for it is God's power to salvation, to every one that believes, both to Jew first and to Greek:

And now I commit you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up and give to you an inheritance among all the sanctified.

Search ye in the book of Jehovah and read: not one of these shall fail, one shall not have to seek for the other; for my mouth, it hath commanded, and his Spirit, it hath gathered them.

and have tasted the good word of God, and the works of power of the age to come,

But we have rejected the hidden things of shame, not walking in deceit, nor falsifying the word of God, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every conscience of men before God.

And they read in the law of God distinctly out of the book, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.
