But when they came to Jesus and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs: but one of the soldiers with a spear, thrust him into the side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.

And he was in agony, and prayed somewhat longer: And his sweat was like drops of blood, trickling down to the ground.

saying, "Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? And behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and ye intend to bring this man's blood upon us."

This Jesus Christ is he that came by water and blood, not by water only: but by water and blood.

neither by the blood of goats, and calves: but by his own blood, we entered once for all into the holy place, and found eternal redemption. For if the blood of oxen, and of goats, and the ashes of a heifer, when it was sprinkled, purified the unclean, as touching the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ - which through the eternal spirit, offered himself without spot to God - purge your consciences from dead works, for to serve the living God?

Nevertheless, in those sacrifices is there mention made of sins every year. For it is impossible that the blood of oxen, and of goats should take away sins. Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, "Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not have: but a body hast thou ordained me.read more.
In sacrifices and sin offerings thou hast no lust. Then I said, 'Lo I come.' In the chiefest of the book it is written of me, that I should do thy will, o God." Above when he had said, "sacrifice, and offering, and burnt sacrifices, and sin offerings thou wouldest not have, neither hast allowed" - which yet are offered by the law - And then he said, "Lo I am come to do thy will o God." He taketh away the first to establish the latter. By the which will we are sanctified, by the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest is ready daily ministering, and often times offereth one manner of offering, which can never take away sins: but this man after he had offered one sacrifice for sins, sat him down for ever on the righthand of God, and from henceforth tarrieth till his foes be made his footstool. For with one offering hath he made perfect forever them that are sanctified.

For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the holy place by the high priest to purge sin, are burnt without the tents. Therefore Jesus, to sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.

- whom God hath set forth for a mercy seat through faith in his blood, to show the righteousness which before him is of valour, in that he forgiveth the sins that are passed,

By whom we have redemption through his blood, that is to say, even the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace,

Likewise also, when they had supped, he took the cup saying, "This cup is the new testament, in my blood, which shall for you be shed.

But Christ being a high priest of good things to come, came by a greater, and a more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands: that is to say, not of this manner building, neither by the blood of goats, and calves: but by his own blood, we entered once for all into the holy place, and found eternal redemption. And I heard a loud voice saying, "In heaven is now made salvation and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: For he is cast down which accused them before God day and night: And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb, and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death.

and from Jesus Christ which is a faithful witness, and first begotten of the dead: and Lord over the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood, and made us kings and priests unto God his father, be glory, and dominion for evermore amen.

For it pleased the father that in him should all fullness dwell, and by him to reconcile all things unto himself, and to set at peace by him through the blood of his cross both things in heaven and things in earth.

let us draw nigh with a true heart in a full faith sprinkled in our hearts, from an evil conscience, and washed in our bodies with pure water,

Therefore Jesus, to sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and yet walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: but and if we walk in light even as he is in light, then have we fellowship together, and the blood of Jesus Christ his son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and truth is not in us.read more.
If we knowledge our sins, he is faithful and just, to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

But now in Christ Jesus, ye which a while ago were far off, are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

Is not the cup of blessing which we bless, partaking of the blood of Christ? Is not the bread which we break, partaking of the body of Christ?

He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me: and I in him. As the living father hath sent me, even so live I by my father: and he that eateth me, shall live by me.

Wherefore whosoever shall eat of this bread, or drink of the cup unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

He that despiseth Moses' law, dieth without mercy under two or three witnesses. Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be counted worthy, which treadeth underfoot the son of God: and counteth the blood of the testament as an unholy thing, wherewith he was sanctified, and doth dishonour to the spirit of grace. For we know him that hath said, "Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord." And again, "the Lord shall judge his people."read more.
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
