Yea, let this mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus,

For I have given you an example, that ye also should do as I have done to you.

For he determined beforehand that those whom he foreknew should be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

And he gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints for the work of ministration, for the building up of the body of Christ; till we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a fullgrown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

Nay more, I count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as refuse, that I may gain Christ, and be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God upon faith; that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, while becoming like him in his death,read more.

He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

But we all with unveiled face beholding in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, as by the Lord, the Spirit.

For they who are according to the flesh have their mind on the things of the flesh; but they who are according to the Spirit, on the things of the Spirit. It is enough for the disciple to be as his teacher, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they so call those of his household!

A disciple is not above his teacher; but every one when fully instructed will be as his teacher.

and he that doth not take his cross, and follow me, is not worthy of me.

If any one cometh to me, and hateth not his father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. Whoever doth not bear his own cross and follow me, cannot be my disciple.

This he said, signifying by what manner of death he was to glorify God. And having thus spoken, he saith to him, Follow me.

Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest for your souls.

And sitting down, he called the twelve, and saith to them, If any one desire to be first, he will be last of all, and servant of all.

And there arose also a contention among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest. And he said to them, The kings of the nations rule as lords over them, and they who exercise authority over them are called benefactors. But it is not to be so with you; but let the greatest among you be as the youngest; and he that is chief, as he that serveth.

If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, ye also ought to wash one anothers feet. For I have given you an example, that ye also should do as I have done to you.

looking each of you not to his own interest, but each to the interest of others also. Yea, let this mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus,

This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you.

Herein we know love, in that he laid down his life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

A new commandment I give you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

This I command you, that ye love one another.
