So the heavens and the earth and everything in them were completed. By the seventh day God completed His work that He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work that He had done.

The Rock—His work is perfect;
all His ways are entirely just.
A faithful God, without prejudice,
He is righteous and true.

Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and God separated the light from the darkness.

For the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and everything in them in six days; then He rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and declared it holy.

All things were created through Him,
and apart from Him not one thing was created
that has been created.

For everything was created by Him,
in heaven and on earth,
the visible and the invisible,
whether thrones or dominions
or rulers or authorities—
all things have been created through Him and for Him.

In these last days, He has spoken to us by His Son. God has appointed Him heir of all things and made the universe through Him.

(for we who have believed enter the rest), in keeping with what He has said:

So I swore in My anger,
they will not enter My rest.

And yet His works have been finished since the foundation of the world,

By faith we understand that the universe was created by God’s command, so that what is seen has been made from things that are not visible.

When the time came to completion, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

In the fourth generation they will return here, for the iniquity of the Amorites has not yet reached its full measure.”

Seventy weeks are decreed
about your people and your holy city—
to bring the rebellion to an end,
to put a stop to sin,
to wipe away iniquity,
to bring in everlasting righteousness,
to seal up vision and prophecy,
and to anoint the most holy place.

“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe in the good news!”

For while we were still helpless, at the appointed moment, Christ died for the ungodly.

for the administration of the days of fulfillment—to bring everything together in the Messiah, both things in heaven and things on earth in Him.

I have glorified You on the earth
by completing the work You gave Me to do.

When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” Then bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

“My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to finish His work,” Jesus told them.

“But I have a greater testimony than John’s because of the works that the Father has given Me to accomplish. These very works I am doing testify about Me that the Father has sent Me.

Everyone the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will never cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My will, but the will of Him who sent Me. For this is the will of My Father: that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”

Father,
I desire those You have given Me
to be with Me where I am.
Then they will see My glory,
which You have given Me
because You loved Me before the world’s foundation.

and to know the Messiah’s love that surpasses knowledge, so you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

I am sure of this, that He who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

and you have been filled by Him, who is the head over every ruler and authority.

“I have spoken these things to you so that My joy may be in you and your joy may be complete.

Until now you have asked for nothing in My name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.

My brothers, I myself am convinced about you that you also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, and able to instruct one another.

I want their hearts to be encouraged and joined together in love, so that they may have all the riches of assured understanding and have the knowledge of God’s mystery—Christ.

But endurance must do its complete work, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing.

But I count my life of no value to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of God’s grace.

From there they sailed back to Antioch where they had been entrusted to the grace of God for the work they had now completed.

So when I have finished this and safely delivered the funds to them, I will visit you on the way to Spain.

He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure that He planned in Him for the administration of the days of fulfillment—to bring everything together in the Messiah, both things in heaven and things on earth in Him.

they will perish, but You remain.
They will all wear out like clothing;
You will roll them up like a cloak,
and they will be changed like a robe.
But You are the same,
and Your years will never end.

But the Day of the Lord will come like a thief; on that day the heavens will pass away with a loud noise, the elements will burn and be dissolved, and the earth and the works on it will be disclosed. Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, it is clear what sort of people you should be in holy conduct and godliness as you wait for and earnestly desire the coming of the day of God. The heavens will be on fire and be dissolved because of it, and the elements will melt with the heat.

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea no longer existed. I also saw the Holy City, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband. Then I heard a loud voice from the throne:

His disciples approached Him and said, “Explain the parable of the weeds in the field to us.” He replied: “The One who sows the good seed is the Son of Man; the field is the world; and the good seed—these are the sons of the kingdom. and the enemy who sowed them is the Devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels. Therefore, just as the weeds are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather from His kingdom everything that causes sin and those guilty of lawlessness. They will throw them into the blazing furnace where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in their Father’s kingdom. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, just as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on His right and the goats on the left. For I was hungry
and you gave Me something to eat;
I was thirsty
and you gave Me something to drink;
I was a stranger and you took Me in;
I was naked and you clothed Me;
I was sick and you took care of Me;
I was in prison and you visited Me.’ “Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You something to drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or without clothes and clothe You?
