And Jesus answered them, "Go and tell John what you hear and see: the blind receive their sight and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.

At that very hour he cured many of diseases and afflictions and evil spirits, and to many that were blind he gave sight. He answered them, "Go and tell John what you have seen and heard: the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, the poor have the good news preached to them.

And behold, a Canaanite woman from that region came out and cried to him, "Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed." But he did not answer her a word. And his disciples came and urged him, saying, "Send her away, for she is crying out after us." He answered, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."read more.
But she came and knelt before him, saying, "Lord, help me!" And he answered, "It is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs." "Yes, Lord," she said, "yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table." Then Jesus answered her, "O woman, great is your faith! Be it done for you as you desire." And her daughter was healed from that very hour.

They came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gerasenes. And when he had come out of the boat, there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, who lived among the tombs; and no one could bind him any more, not even with a chain,read more.
for he had often been bound with shackles and chains. But the chains he wrenched apart, and the shackles he broke in pieces; and no one had the strength to subdue him. Night and day among the tombs and on the mountains he was always crying out, and cutting himself with stones. And when he saw Jesus from a distance, he ran and worshipped him. And crying out with a loud voice, he said, "What have you to do with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore you by God, do not torment me." For he had said to him, "Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!" Then Jesus asked him, "What is your name?" And he replied, "My name is Legion, for we are many." And he begged him eagerly not to send them out of the country. Now a large herd of swine was feeding there on the hillside. So all the demons begged him, "Send us to the swine, that we may enter them." So he gave them permission. And the unclean spirits came out, and entered the swine; and the herd, numbering about two thousand, rushed down the steep bank into the sea, and were drowned in the sea. So those who fed the swine fled, and told it in the city and in the country. And people went out to see what it was that had happened. And they came to Jesus, and saw the man who had been possessed sitting there, clothed and in his right mind, the man who had had the legion; and they were afraid. And those who had seen it told the people what had happened to the demon-possessed man, and about the swine. Then they began to plead with Jesus to depart from their region. And as he was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged him that he might be with him. Jesus did not let him, but said, "Go home to your friends and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you." And he went away and began to proclaim in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him; and all men marveled.

Then they sailed to the country of the Gerasenes, which is opposite Galilee. When he stepped out on land, there met him a man from the city who had demons. For a long time he had worn no clothes, and he lived not in a house but in the tombs. When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell down before him, and said with a loud voice, "What have you to do with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you, do not torment me!"read more.
For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For many times it had seized him, and he was kept under guard, bound with chains and shackles; and he broke the bonds and was driven by the demon into the wilderness. Jesus asked him, "What is your name?" And he said, "Legion"; because many demons had entered him. And they begged him repeatedly not to command them to go into the Abyss. Now a large herd of swine was feeding there on the hillside; and they begged him to let them enter them. So he gave them permission. Then the demons came out of the man and entered the swine, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and were drowned. When those tending the pigs saw what had happened, they fled, and told it in the city and in the country. Then people went out to see what had happened, and they came to Jesus, and found the man from whom the demons had gone, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid. Those who had seen it told them how he who had been demon-possessed was healed. Then all the people of the surrounding region of the Gerasenes asked him to depart from them, for they were seized with great fear. So he got into the boat and returned. The man from whom the demons had gone begged that he might be with him; but Jesus sent him away, saying, "Return to your home, and tell how much God has done for you." And he went away, proclaiming throughout the whole city how much Jesus had done for him.

Then they brought to him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and he healed him, so that the mute man both spoke and saw.

Now he was casting out a demon that was mute. So it was, when the demon had gone out, that the mute man spoke; and the multitudes marveled.

Then he departed from the region of Tyre, and went through Sidon to the Sea of Galilee, through the region of the Decapolis. Then they brought to him a man who was deaf and had an impediment in his speech, and they begged him to put his hand on him. And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spat and touched his tongue.read more.
And looking up to heaven he sighed and said to him, "Ephphatha," that is, "Be opened." And [immediately] his ears were opened, and the impediment of his tongue was loosed, and he spoke plainly. And he commanded them to tell no one; but the more he charged them, the more widely they proclaimed it. And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, "He has done all things well. He even makes the deaf to hear and the mute to speak."

And behold, they brought to him a paralytic, lying on a bed. And when Jesus saw their faith he said to the paralytic, "Take heart, my son; your sins are forgiven." And behold, some of the scribes said to themselves, "This man is blaspheming!" But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, "Why do you think evil in your hearts?read more.
For which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Rise and walk'? But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins"he then said to the paralytic"Rise, take up your bed and go home." And he rose and went home. When the crowds saw it, they were afraid, and they glorified God, who had given such authority to men.

Then they came to him, bringing a paralytic carried by four men. And when they could not get near him because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above him; and when they had broken through, they let down the pallet on which the paralytic was lying. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, "Son, your sins are forgiven."read more.
Now some of the scribes were sitting there, reasoning in their hearts, "Why does this man speak like this? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?" And immediately, when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, he said to them, "Why do you reason about these things in your hearts? Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Rise, take up your pallet and walk'? But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins"he said to the paralytic, "I say to you, rise, take up your pallet and go home." And he rose, and immediately took up the pallet and went out in the sight of them all; so that they were all amazed and glorified God, saying, "We never saw anything like this!"

Then behold, men brought on a bed a man who was paralyzed, and they sought to bring him in and lay him before Jesus. When they could not find a way to bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and let him down with his bed through the tiles into the midst before Jesus. When he saw their faith he said, "Man, your sins are forgiven you."read more.
And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, "Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?" But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answered them, "Why are you reasoning in your hearts? Which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven you,' or to say, 'Rise up and walk'? But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins"he said to the man who was paralyzed "I say to you, rise, take up your bed and go home." Immediately he rose up before them, took up what he had been lying on, and went home, glorifying God. And they were all amazed, and they glorified God and were filled with awe, saying, "We have seen strange things today."

After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a multitude of disabled people, blind, lame, paralyzed.read more.

When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had been in this condition for a long time, he said to him, "Do you want to be made well?" The sick man answered him, "Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me." Jesus said to him, "Rise, take up your bed, and walk." And at once the man was healed, and he took up his bed and walked. Now that day was the Sabbath. So the Jews said to the man who was cured, "It is the Sabbath; it is not lawful for you to carry your bed." But he answered them, "The man who made me well said to me, 'Take up your bed, and walk.'" They asked him, "Who is the man who said to you, 'Take up your bed, and walk'?" Now the man who had been healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, as there was a crowd in that place. Afterward, Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, "See, you are well. Sin no more, so that nothing worse may happen to you."

And there was a woman who had endured a flow of blood for twelve years, and she had suffered much under many physicians, and had spent all that she owned, and was no better but rather grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his garment.read more.
For she said, "If I touch even his clothes, I shall be made well." And immediately the bleeding stopped; and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease. And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that power had gone out from him, turned around in the crowd and said, "Who touched my clothes?" And his disciples said to him, "You see the crowd pressing around you, and yet you say, 'Who touched me?'" And he looked around to see who had done it. But the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before him in fear and trembling and told him the whole truth. And he said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your disease."

And they came to Bethsaida; and some people brought a blind man to him, and begged him to touch him. So he took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the village. And when he had spit on his eyes and put his hands on him, he asked him "Do you see anything?" And he looked up and said, "I see men; but they look like trees, walking."read more.
Then he put his hands on his eyes again and made him look up. And he was restored, and saw everything clearly. And he sent him away to his home, saying, "Do not even go into the village."

As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth. And his disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" Jesus answered, "Neither this man sinned nor his parents sinned. But that the works of God might be revealed in him,read more.
we must work the works of him who sent me, while it is day. Night is coming, when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world." As he said this, he spat on the ground and made clay of the saliva, and anointed the man's eyes with the clay. And he said to him, "Go, wash in the pool of Siloam" (which means, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.

And behold, a leper came and knelt before him, saying, "Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean." Then Jesus put out his hand and touched him, saying, "I am willing; be clean." Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. And Jesus said to him, "See that you tell no one; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them."

Then a leper came to him, imploring him, kneeling down to him and saying to him, "If you are willing, you can make me clean." And Jesus, moved with compassion, put out his hand and touched him, and said to him, "I am willing; be clean." And immediately the leprosy left him, and he was made clean.read more.
And he strictly warned him and sent him away at once, and he said to him, "See that you say nothing to anyone; but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing what Moses commanded, as a testimony to them."

While he was in one of the cities, a man who was full of leprosy saw Jesus; and he fell on his face and begged him, "Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean." And he stretched out his hand, and touched him, saying, "I am willing; be clean." And immediately the leprosy left him. And he charged him to tell no one, "But go and show yourself to the priest, and make an offering for your cleansing as a testimony to them, just as Moses commanded."

On the way to Jerusalem he was passing along between Samaria and Galilee. As he entered a village, ten men who were lepers met him, who stood at a distance. And they lifted up their voices and said, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!"read more.
When he saw them, he said to them, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And as they went, they were cleansed. Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice; and he fell on his face at Jesus' feet, giving him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. Then said Jesus, "Were not ten cleansed? Where are the nine? Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?" And he said to him, "Rise and go your way; your faith has made you well."

Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus of Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha. It was this Mary who anointed the Lord with fragrant oil and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick. So the sisters sent to him, saying, "Lord, he whom you love is sick."read more.
When Jesus heard it, he said, "This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it." Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. So, when he heard that he was sick, he stayed two more days in the place where he was. Then after this he said to the disciples, "Let us go to Judea again." The disciples said to him, "Rabbi, the Jews were just now seeking to stone you, and are you going there again?" Jesus answered, "Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. But if one walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him." These things he said, and after that he said to them, "Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I go to wake him up." His disciples said, "Lord, if he sleeps, he will recover." Now Jesus had spoken of his death, but they thought that he meant taking rest in sleep. So then Jesus told them plainly, "Lazarus is dead; and for your sake I am glad that I was not there, so that you may believe. But let us go to him." Then Thomas, who is called the Twin, said to his fellow disciples, "Let us also go, that we may die with him." So when Jesus came, he found that he had already been in the tomb four days. Bethany was near Jerusalem, about two miles off, and many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary to comfort them concerning their brother. When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went and met him, but Mary sat in the house. Martha said to Jesus, "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. But even now I know that whatever you ask of God, God will give you." Jesus said to her, "Your brother will rise again." Martha said to him, "I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day." Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live; and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?" She said to him, "Yes, Lord, I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world." And when she had said this, she went her way and called Mary her sister, saying, "The Teacher is here and is calling for you." When she heard it, she rose quickly and went to him. Now Jesus had not yet come to the village, but was still in the place where Martha had met him. The Jews who were with her in the house, and comforting her, when they saw that Mary rose up quickly and went out, followed her, supposing that she was going to the tomb to weep there. Then Mary, when she came where Jesus was and saw him, fell at his feet, saying to him, "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died." When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled. And he said, "Where have you laid him?" They said to him, "Lord, come and see." Jesus wept. Then the Jews said, "See how he loved him!" But some of them said, "Could not he who opened the eyes of the blind man have kept this man from dying?" Then Jesus, deeply moved again, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay against it. Jesus said, "Take away the stone." Martha, the sister of the dead man, said to him, "Lord, by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been dead four days." Jesus said to her, "Did I not tell you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?" So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up his eyes and said, "Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing by, that they may believe that you sent me." When he had said this, he cried with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come out!" The dead man came out, his hands and feet bound with grave clothes, and his face wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, "Unbind him, and let him go."

While he was still speaking, some came from the ruler of the synagogue's house who said, "Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?" But ignoring what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, "Do not be afraid; only believe." And he allowed no one to follow him except Peter, James, and John the brother of James.read more.
When they came to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, he saw a tumult, and people weeping and wailing loudly. And when he came in, he said to them, "Why make this commotion and weep? The child is not dead, but sleeping." And they laughed at him. But after he put them all outside, he took the child's father and mother and those who were with him, and went in where the child was. He took her by the hand and said to her, "Talitha cumi!" which means, "Little girl, I say to you, arise." Immediately the girl stood up and walked (she was twelve years of age). And they were overcome with great amazement. He strictly charged them that no one should know this, and told them to give her something to eat.

Soon afterward, he went to a city called Nain, and his disciples and a large crowd went along with him. As he came near the gate of the city, behold, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother; and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the city was with her. When the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said to her, "Do not weep."read more.
Then he came and touched the open coffin, and those who carried him stood still. And he said, "Young man, I say to you, arise." The dead man sat up, and began to speak. And he gave him to his mother. Fear seized them all; and they glorified God, saying, "A great prophet has arisen among us;" and "God has visited his people."

Now many signs and wonders were done among the people by the hands of the apostles. And they were all together in Solomon's Porch. None of the rest dared join them, but the people held them in high honor. And all the more believers in the Lord, multitudes of men and women, were constantly added to their number,read more.
so that they even carried out the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and pallets, so that as Peter came by at least his shadow might fall on some of them. The people also gathered from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing the sick and those afflicted with unclean spirits, and they were all healed.

Now Peter and John were going up to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. And a man lame from birth was being carried, whom they set down every day at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful to beg alms of those who entered the temple. When he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked for alms.read more.
And Peter, along with John, directed his gaze at him, and said, "Look at us." And he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. But Peter said, "I do not have silver and gold, but I give you what I have; in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk." And taking him by the right hand, he raised him up; and immediately his feet and ankles were made strong. With a leap he stood upright and began to walk; and he entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God, and they recognized him as the one who used to sit at the Beautiful Gate of the temple to beg alms, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

God did extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul, so that handkerchiefs or aprons were even carried from his body to the sick, and diseases left them and the evil spirits went out.

for he was longing for you all and was distressed because you had heard that he was ill. Indeed he was ill, near to death. But God had mercy on him, and not only on him but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.

and the prayer offered in faith will save the sick man, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

But Jesus said, "Do not forbid him, for no one who does a miracle in my name can soon afterward speak evil of me.

But Peter said, "I do not have silver and gold, but I give you what I have; in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk."

be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by him this man stands before you healed.

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

But when Jesus heard it, he said, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
