And they came to Jesus, and saw the man who had been possessed sitting there, clothed and in his right mind, the man who had had the legion; and they were afraid. And those who had seen it told the people what had happened to the demon-possessed man, and about the swine. Then they began to plead with Jesus to depart from their region. And as he was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged him that he might be with him. Jesus did not let him, but said, "Go home to your friends and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you." And he went away and began to proclaim in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him; and all men marveled.
