Now at evening, when the sun had set, they brought to him all who were sick and those who were demon-possessed.

They came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gerasenes. And when he had come out of the boat, there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, who lived among the tombs; and no one could bind him any more, not even with a chain,read more.

And the unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying with a loud voice, came out of him.

Now when he rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven demons.

The people also gathered from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing the sick and those afflicted with unclean spirits, and they were all healed.

But also some of the Jewish exorcists, who went from place to place, attempted to name over those who had the evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, "I adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches." And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered all of them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
