Husbands, love your wives as Christ also loved the church and gave himself for it,

so that he who thinks he stands, let him take heed lest he fall. For no trial has befallen you but what is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not permit you to be tried beyond what you are able, but with the trial will order the event, that you may be able to endure.

For we have not a chief priest who cannot sympathise with our infirmities, but one tried in all respects as we are, without sin. Let those therefore who suffer by the will of God, commit their souls to him in well doing as a faithful creator.

The saying is true, For if we died together we shall live together; if we endure patiently we shall reign together; if we deny him he will deny us; if we believe not he continues faithful; for he cannot deny himself.

For you have need of patience, that having done the will of God you may receive the promise.

If any one [leads] into captivity, he shall go into captivity; if any one kills with the sword, he shall be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and faith of the saints.

Here is the patience of the saints, who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

Let a man so regard us as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. But, moreover, it is required of stewards that one should be found faithful.

Till I come attend to reading, exhortation, teaching. Neglect not the gift which is in you, which was given you by prophecy, with the imposition of hands of the eldership. Study these things, be much in them, that your improvement may be manifest to all.read more.
Attend to yourself, and to teaching; continue in it, for doing this you will both save yourself and those that hear you.

O Timothy, keep the trust, turning away from profane and empty words, and contradictions of mis-named science,

Retain the form of sound words which you heard from me in faith and the love in Christ Jesus. Guard the good trust, through the Holy Spirit which dwells in us.

and what you heard from me through many witnesses, these things commit to faithful men, who shall be competent to teach others also.

STAND firm in the liberty with which Christ has made you free, and be not again subject to a yoke of servitude.

Take therefore the whole armor of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having done all to stand.

His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few [talents], I will place you over many: enter into the joy of your lord.
