But He answered the man who told Him, "Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?" And with a gesture toward His disciples He said, "Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my mother and sister and brother."

For wherever two or three have met as my disciples, I am right there with them."

"Whoever, as a disciple of mine, welcomes one little child like this, welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me, welcomes not merely me but Him who sent me."

Then He answered them, "My mother and my brothers are those who listen to God's message and practice it."

Then they said to each other, "Did not our hearts keep burning in our bosoms as He was talking to us on the road, as He went on explaining the Scriptures to us?"

Then Jesus said to them, "I most solemnly say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you do not have life in you.

Whoever continues to eat my flesh and drink my blood continues to live in union with me and I in union with him.

At that time you will know that I am in union with my Father and you are in union with me and I am in union with you. Whoever continues to hold and keep my commands is the one who really loves me, and whoever really loves me will be loved by my Father; yes, I will love him myself and will make myself real to him." Jesus answered him, "If anyone really loves me, he will observe my teaching, and my Father will love him, and both of us will come in face-to-face fellowship with him; yes, we will make our special dwelling place with him.

You must remain in union with me and I will remain in union with you. Just as no branch by itself can bear fruit unless it remains united to the vine, so you cannot unless you remain in union with me. I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in union with me and I in union with him will bear abundant fruit, because you cannot do anything cut off from union with me.

If you remain in union with me and my words remain in you, you may ask whatever you please and you shall have it.

for them all to be one, just as you, Father, are in union with me and I in union with you, for them to be in union with us, so that the world may be convinced that you have sent me. I have given them the glory which you gave me, so that they may be one, just as we are, I in union with them and you in union with me, so that they may be perfectly united, and the world may be sure that you sent me and that you have loved them just as you have loved me.

So, my brothers, you too in the body of Christ have ended your relation to the law, so that you may be married to another husband, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God.

So then there is no condemnation at all for those who are in union with Christ Jesus.

But if Christ lives in you, although your bodies must die because of sin, your spirits are now enjoying life because of right standing with God.

and if children, then also heirs, heirs of God and fellow-heirs with Christ if in reality we share His sufferings, so that we may share His glory too.

If some of the branches have been broken off, and yet you, although you were wild olive suckers, have been grafted in among the native branches, and been made to share the rich sap of the native olive's root,

so we, though many, are united in one body through union with Christ, and we are individually parts of one another.

God is entirely trustworthy, and it is He through whom you have been called into this fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Foods are intended for the stomach, and the stomach for foods, but God will finally put a stop to both of them. The body is not intended for sexual immorality but for the service of the Lord, and the Lord is for the body to serve. And as God by His power raised the Lord to life, so He will raise us too. Do you not know that your bodies are parts of Christ Himself? Then may I take away parts of Christ and make them parts of a prostitute? Never! Never!

But the man who is in union with the Lord is spiritually one with Him.

Is not the consecrated cup which we consecrate a sign of our sharing in the blood of Christ? Is not the loaf which we break a sign of our sharing in the body of Christ?

For just as the human body is one and yet has many parts, and all the parts of the body, many as they are, constitute but one body, so it is with Christ.

So you are Christ's body, and individually parts of it.

For I feel a divine jealousy for you, as I betrothed you to Christ, to present you as a pure bride to her one husband.

You yourselves must continue testing yourselves to see whether you are continuing in the faith. You must continue standing the test. Do you not know by a growing experience that Jesus Christ is in you? -- provided you stand the test.

because we are parts of His body.

to whom God has chosen to make known how glorious are the riches of this open secret among the heathen, namely, Christ in you the hope of your glorification.

for you have died, and your life is now hidden in God through your fellowship with Christ.

For God appointed us not to reap His wrath but to gain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, so that whether we still live or sleep we may live in fellowship with Him.

For both He who is purifying them and those who are being purified all spring from one Father; so He is not ashamed to call them brothers,

Whoever claims, "I am always in union with Him," ought to live as He lived.

Let what you have heard from the beginning continue to live in your hearts; if you do, you will always remain in union with the Son and the Father.

And now, dear children, I repeat, you must continue to live in union with Him, so that if He is unveiled, we may have unshaken confidence and not shrink away from Him in shame when He comes.

No one who continues to live in union with Him practices sin. No one who practices sin has ever seen Him or come to know Him.

Whoever practices obedience to His commands remains in union with Him and He in union with him; and in this way we know that He remains in union with us, by the Spirit that He has given us.

By the fact that He has given us a portion of His Spirit we can be sure that we remain in union with Him and He in union with us.

Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son does not have life.

And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us insight to recognize the True One; and we are in union with the True One through His Son, Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

No one has God, who goes too far and fails to stay by the teaching of Christ. Whoever stays by this teaching has the Father and the Son.

I am now standing at the door and knocking. If anyone listens to my voice and opens the door, I will be his guest and feast with him, and he with me.
